Was at the concert in Birmingham, what a great party. Waterfront as opener is unbeatable. Secret stars for me were Cherisse Osei on drums and especially Sarah Brown, simply great. Thought it was a litle bit shame that all the songs were older than 33 years, only 1 new song was played from the last album from 2022. The last 8 albums before that were simply left out, a little pity. But it was still a great 80s/90s party. I''m already looking forward to a sold-out Festhalle in Frankfurt.
I saw Simple Minds in the Barrowlands over 30 years ago. Saw them last Friday night and they put on an amazing show. Charlie awesome on lead guitar, Jim Kerr still a showman after all these years and the new additions to the band have slotted in seamlessly. Amazing Scottish band and one heck of a sound and light show they put on.
This is the same for me, 30 years ago was my first concert, Simple Minds at the Barrowlands and Saturday night was my son's first concert. Even got a shout out for coming in from Japan for it from Jim.
Went with my brother and sat to the right of were you filmed from, thought the gig was fantastic, sound quality was superb, DM were amazing in fact the hydro as a venue is spot on and would defo go back there. The support act forget her name something shah? Anyways she was damn good too. 👍 for uploading the sound quality never transfers across via phone recording but it was spot on. Love DM and it's fans ❤

Remember buying this as soon as it floated into existence in the early 90s. Such a nice compliment to that time. Loved the answers to what was happening in the states from the other side of the pond. Great band. Great song. Great album.
