Kathryn - they currently are leaving Richmond about 4-4:30. Running through Midlothian at 5-6 and getting to Burkeville at sundown. The return run is under the cover of darkness and gets back to Richmond in the midnight territory
@@VCUrailfan15productions 5 to 6 PM or AM? So the return through Bon Air must be like 9 or 10? I've also always wondered about the old siding just east of Robious and Hugenot. What is its story? It seems to be a strange place for a RIP track.
I like this video. I was using my imagination. That the Norfolk and Western had merged with the New York Central in 1956. With the New Haven at the same time. An independent Railroad would have to come out of the old New Haven. And this train is running on the Southbridge Mass to Charlton Mass crossing the diamond at East Brookfield Mass. Heading up to North Brookfield Massachusetts. Up the New Braintree-Athol-Ware River Branch line to drop off some cars in Gardner Mass. And Athol Mass for the Boston and Maine. AKA Pan Am railways later on which would be owned by Canadian National
Nice to see some AC6000s ended up on a regional railroad! Although WNYP did replace the headlights on some of these units (and a couple of their alcos I believe) with LED lights
Great look at this excellent lesser known territory. I wanna know more about it. Could you PM me any tips you have of the the area? At 31:30 where is this? Thanks!
Hey there, appreciate the kind words. If I’m being honest it is kind of a crapshoot - we found early morning to be busy for us on both days on the eastern part of the line. At the time, ATCS coverage was up and running for the area but that is no longer the case. Luckily, it’s a fun line to chase so if you find one train, it’s easy to jump ahead of him. Eventually they will meet other trains - that may be the way to go about this line these days. The location at 31:30 is Crockett, which is just east of Wytheville. One of the many quaint towns along the line.
Boy that was super super super super longest longest longest train in the earth or world or planet right guys. Um guys can you hear me. Mr you smell onions and boogers man. You are super poop man.
You've satisfied my need to see fast passenger trains from a drone's eye view. What an absolutely FANTASTIC video! Hornell looks like a beautiful town from the air.
@@TZrailfaning I’m sorry I accidentally replied the wrong thing… yes it’s still around but it’s the Western New York & Pennsylvania that is headquartered in Olean, NY. Somehow thought you commented on another video. Sorry!
