Are you a brand new coach? Is this your first season coaching volleyball? I know how it feels to try and start the season right when you're not really sure what all is involved in coaching. That's why I wrote a book, "Coaching Volleyball: A Survival Guide for Your First Season." Check it out on Amazon (amzn.to/2MpOQ51) if you're in need of a little extra guidance. Thanks for visiting!
I remember doing this with only one player. Coach will toss a ball out back at the end line and our job was to pass it back to the court. This was to simulate a bad reception at serve/receive… got a a few burns but totally worth it
Same. I practiced for more than a year now, and I still can’t get it. I know I am kind of weak, so I tried improving my arm srength, but it’s still nothing. Wish you luck btw
Great video, but 1 thing, how in the world is a 1st grader with just a little bit of training able to get that ball so far and high as to make it over the net?? Seems like a low percentage of 1st graders could do this
So my daughter plays club and we went to a tournament and only played one of the 8 games they played. It seems like she’s being targeted because she’s always at practice and always willing to learn i really don’t care if she starts but at least be a sub and this was a team of 11. Also, I’m super green and still learning but are there ANY sub violations that take place? I just feel like something smells fishy and I didn’t pay all that club money and travel all over the state to watch my baby girl riding pine please help!
What if they do "shank" the ball. Do they run and get it and get back to the original spot or they move on to the next spot? It should always be flowing?
As a fellow coach this is extremely accurate of the many factors that go into making a volleyball rotation. So many parents and kids have no idea all the factors that go into making a rotation and this is a helpful start. I’m saving this video and likely sharing it! Thanks!
