Very nice! I have an army of their 1/18 figures. Wish they would return to the scale with these new designs. Love mixing scales with beast creatures and robots. Great video!
I got a few of the Infinity line and they suppose to (enemy) with the Yu Jing and PanO faction. But hey I dont play the game so I got a few to... army built them. Very good and fit well with the latest BlackJack from Joytoy and their "mech tank"
That is a good fit for sure! I like these guys better than the Warhammer ones. I feel you can pair them better with other imposing figures like NECA aliens or others. At the time of this video recording, these were pretty easy to army build. Thank you for the watch and comment 😁
Great video! It's always nice to see how other people weather their figures (the process). Also I always thought SW's Hunter from the Bad Batch was somehow based on Billy from Predator. Your photos capture that perfectly.
Thanks my Brother. I legit only bought him so he can be my Billy LOL. I always promised to show a little of my process with weathering or customs in general. Thought this would be a great fit. Thank you again.
Looks good! Maybe he could be the King of Predators? I bet he would fit on a McFarlane DC throne.... Thanks for the shout out, your right it's your universe you can have it however you want
Anytime brother! Yeah that’s a great idea, king of the predators. I have another NECA one that would definitely fit the bill. Thanks for watching my good sir.
I still need to buy the queen and I have to be quick, because NECA has discontinued most of the Alien series. Beside this, it's a pitty NECA never produced the queen from the Alien Vs Predator movie, because I love that design too, because the shape of the crown is different and her feet is the same, but in bigger size as the feet of the Alien warrior from the AVP movie.
@@thatdamnfigureshow That is for sure, but also the legs of the AVP version is more thicker, like more muscular. So the figure version would stand probably more stable than the skinny legs from Aliens ans Resurrection.
@@91JRH Very True. Mine barely stands on its own. I wouldn't even mind if they made the overall figure AVP Queen larger than this release. Truly Massive
@@thatdamnfigureshow Yes, it's actually weird that the upper body is larger than the lower body with the skinny legs. It should be the other the way around. Yes, the queen in AVP is indeed in overall larger, because this queen is actually not a queen but an empress. That's why she is larger than the queen. In the Xenomorph hierarchy you first have the Mother Queen of all Emmpresses and Queens, than you have the Empress and than the Queen. And at last at the bottom of the chain are the drones, warriors and other types of Xenomorphs.
Never knew I wanted a deluxe Alien Queen giving a versus stare down to a Jurassic Park T-Rex as always great video and great photo shoot as always well done bro 💯
Hmmm I’m gonna say this years since I bought six of them, whereas I only buy 2 of the same figure last year…. BUTT, this did make me consider buying some of the others from last year.
For sure, at the time of making these videos, they were reasonably easy to get. They only have one set left on BigBadToyStore. A few online Chinese toy retailers have them but a tad over priced.
Another excellent video and review of two exceptional figures. I have fitted magnets to many of my 1/18 scale figures and to the floors of my JoyToy Mecha Depot buildings. 19:17
so glad you enjoyed. ^_^ They can be expensive, yes. This guy is $26 on Big BadToyStore.com. On the cheaper side of the hobby. cheapest being Star Wars Vintage collection.
oh you gotta be kidding me... I just wanted to see how they scale with a reg joy toy fig and it's like the only one you didn't do. So few channels scale all the figs and it leaves us collectors in the dark. Like I had no idea all the joy toy females are much taller than all the men.. or that the most massive armored were even smaller yet. I had to find this out haphazardly. I just want a tall heavily armored fig that isn't warhammer.
Very cool! I've gotten into figures recently and went from buying way too much stuff to toning it down and being more selective haha. Especially once I discovered joytoy and acid rain. I agree on the 1/18th scale photography on youtube. I love stop motion or those photo mix like you did. I'm also a fan of like zombie/alien type stuff so I started to skew towards that haha. Thanks for mixing the scales as well, I saw your project marauders video and it's nice to see how those 4" figures stack up to some bigger figures.
Thanks! So hype you enjoyed! This hobby can sneak up on you. I love mixing scales. Really glad viewers like yourself enjoy. It’s really fun. Funny you mention the zombies, I’ve been super tempted into getting some or making some. Thanks again 🍻
Just ordered from Ailinna Toys, I have all the Hiya Predators , so I’m pretty sure I can give valid opinions 😂 “garbage” . Hope I don’t get bad copies , GIJoe 🇺🇸 only sold in China , ugh Too bad it’s not JoyToy quality
Great video and review. I have two of the military robots, a robot controller and a security soldier. As you state they are very expensive and difficult to get. Thank you for the review. 15:12
I just got this guy and his 3 battle brothers, this one is Sgt.Romulo. The red mask and right knee detail indicates his rank. These do look great, though the right leg on mine just falls off. This is a Primaris Space Marine in Phobos armor. They’re definitely fun to pose and I’m really loving toe articulation, I know it’s kinda dumb, but it remakes a difference for me. I agree being able to head swap these guys would be nice, the Marines head is actually a little on the large side imo.
@@thatdamnfigureshow I haven’t picked up any others aside from the Incusors, Infiltrators and Reivers as I really like the Phobos armor, but Utramarines although great looking aren’t my preference.
Size and scale are not the same thing. 3.75" figures and 4" figures are both 1:18 scale. Not all figures are the same size because not all people are the same height. Temuera Morrison is 5'7" and Chris Pratt is just under 6'2". So, at 1:18 scale, a proper sized Boba Fett figure would be 3.75" and a Star-Lord would be just a bit over 4". Which is exactly what they are. Cheers, brother!
Hoi hoi! I am a big fan of guardians of the galaxy! Since i’ve seen you and Wentzillah with them, i’ve been looking everywhere trying to find them! It looks like they’ve not hit my shores and i don’t think they ever will
Pretty awesome customs! Don't know if you ever got the entire army builder pack, but I think Amazon had it for around $70 a month back and it's a killer pack with plenty of customizing opportunities.
@@thatdamnfigureshow the army builders and the beige maintenance team from JT had a sale going, too good to pass up. Don't know if you have any of the Hexa Gear or Armored Puppet mechs, or the JT mechs either, but if you'd like to get some affordable mechs with superior articulation without breaking your wallet, may I suggest 30 Minutes Missions by Bandai. There's plenty of reviews around, I don't have a channel set up but I've got some pics of the Hexes and Puppets next to some of the taller 30MM mechs and they look great together. The 30MM guys are about the size of Firepower Man from JT, less bukly in width but they're about as articulated as Marvel Legends, and they could almost double as exoskeletons for the larger 1/18 figs.
@@edgomez933 what is funny is I think a lot of us in this hobby think similarly. I have had some 30MM in my cart but am worried it wont fit in so I haven't pulled the trigger. BUT you might have changed that LOL. I was thinking of getting a small army of 30MM mechs to be paired with some armor puppets as AI gone crazy machines out to destroy humanity. I like story building lol
@@thatdamnfigureshow I'm in the same boat, the 30MM are some of the easiest builds around for mechas, and they've got sweeeeeet customizing options like alternative weapons/armor kits plus they're compatible with 1/144 gundam accessories like armor/weapons/jet packs so you get all the customizing privileges you'd get with the JT line. I also wound up getting some Gundam Witch from Mercury kits as they're under $30 usually, don't really need stickers, and they look as outstanding next to the Hexes and JT's as the 30MM guys. Also with mecha girls being a thing, I've found the 30 Minute sisters go great as say JT humans in exoskeletons, while the Frame Arms Girl Hand Scale kits are also made by the company making the Hexa Gears and are compatible vehicles/weapons wise with the Hexes and Puppets. For buyers and toy photographers like us, especially with the customizing choices in mind, there's a rich line up of brands to pick from without going broke like with the Acid Rain line. Story building rocks, and so many of these being affordable (under $30 per each) helps big time with the narrative and world building. Stacking the Puppets bases vertically like you had in another video, the 30MM kits scale perfectly too.
Can I ask please, which Hiya Toys predators are those? Their height next to the 1/18 looks huge compared to the Hiya preds I've got which are about the same height as Joytoy troops. Are these the newere releases?
Yes Sir, These are the AVP Predators from Hiya Toys and that very first one was the Version 2 of the Jungle Hunter. They are wider than the original Hiya Predators and a tad taller, not by much. BUT the Tallest Predator Hiya Produced were the ones from the 'Predators' Line. Berserker, Tracker, and Falconer. The are nearly 5 inches, They pair up great with most 1.18 scale figures. Happy You enjoyed Ed ^_^
