So many twats in the comments. xD Of course there's nothing special going on. But it's cool to hear how different guitar players noodle around no matter who they are.
@@Nickk81 not hating, just pointing out that this is a tape of worthless, meaningless noodling that all guitar players do in private and slash would probably rather it not be posted for people to watch. I realize you're a simp and would suck a mile of dick just to eat the corn out of slashes shit, but this is just how it is.
You never know with Slash whether he’s acting cool and pretending not to know about 6th’s and 7th’s and different scales or if he genuinely doesn’t know and has just practiced so much he just figured it out. Either way, the guy is a genius
He really dosent know. He learned by ear. Just sat infront of a record and learned licks and riffs. He had a guitar book with basic scales and riffs but that’s about it for him
First thought.....thats the sound you really wanna jam with???? theirs an amp system called gorilla so dirty and grungy ..perfect for your style . garage days living room days....Tom take that in the other room days.
Half of this compilation Slash is playing his electric guitar without an amplifier crazy right. His picking technique Is very subtle very elegant so to speak. Absolute legend.
he had a 1 of a kind weird amplifier he "borrowed" from marshall and never gave back, and they never stopped calling him and asking for it back, *for years.* anywho, late 90s / early 2000s he got a new guitar tech, who took marshall's call and gave the amp back without saying anything to slash until after the fact. he has asked many times for it back, marshall ignored him lol. read that in his autobiography, thats probably what it is.
Yeah, people say he’s sloppy mostly because he has a negative edge, or a late pickoff on plucks. Imagine a beginner playing seven nation army, the notes are a tad late. But I love him, in almost all his playing it’s perfect. People can’t tell style and perfect “imperfections” apart
Live, he is a relatively "sloppy" player. I prefer the term "loose" but, they pretty much mean the same thing. That doesn't mean it's not amazing, it's just a part of his style. I think that comes with the territory of mostly being a feel player. He doesn't plan out every note he plays. A lot of them just kind of happen in the moment, if that makes sense.
He's kind of in the same play style group as page, perry, ace, and stones. He's sloppy/loose player but that's what made those raw tracks afd so great, same as with the others I mentioned. Personally I prefer the iving, breathing style of a sloppy player over a very technical player.
GOD i wanna meet him so bad, but i know i would geek out real hard if i ever met him. i hope he plays in ohio sometime soon when all this shit blows over
If this video were exclusive evidence, I may be inclined to agree. However, in this video, I think he's just messing around, kind of like us when we are on the couch or something. I think here, he is really just trying to dial in tones and things like that. Nonetheless, live, he rarely plays the same solo more than once, leading me to believe he is actually pretty good at improvising.
