Hey Guys! Welcome to Aussies in Angkor. This Channel is all about Real Estate and Room Tours in Cambodia and around South East Asia.
These videos will be bite sized and easy to digest. Focusing on one property per video, rent price, whats included and what is in the surrounding area.
We want to show you what your money can get you in different places around the world. We'll be showing anything from budget accomodation to luxury condos and everything in between.
If you have seen our faces before that is because we also have another travel vlog channel - Franc & Sarah linked below.

For sure! We're still learning the best parts of Siem Reap and the 'actual' prices for these places. Though they all seem to be negotiable, and some you can get some pretty amazing discounts on.
Good question! Cats a plenty (and dogs too) in siem reap. So I’m sure there would be a lot of options that would be pet friendly! Will have to find out how common it is though.
@@Aussiesinangkor Thanks! If I come there, it wouldn't be for another year so I'd have time to figure things out. So many of the places you've shown are very nice and good-sized. I really like Bangkok but the places there are tiny.
Much too much for me by myself -- I'm old and alone & would be quite content with half or less than half of all that space ! -- It would also be somewhat costly to cool all of that "area". -?-
This is a great apartment at a great price. There is an AC in the two bedrooms but it seems that there is no AC in the living room. This is the second video of apartment in Siem Reap where I notice that AC is only in the bedroom. Is it the way things are in Cambodia?
There's a lot of variety in how places are set up here. A lot will have A/C just in the bedroom to keep you cool at night. They tend to use fans and natural air flow to cool places down here as electricity costs are very high.
It's great to see some of these places in 3D, I'm usually just browing the facebook rental listings thinking about coming out there. Is it really OK to wear shoes in the house like that? Sorry I'm not Cambodian so I can't be sure, but I had a very visceral reaction seeing it. I know in many stores in Cambodia, like open to the general public, we needed to take our shoes off to go in.
Glad you enjoy being able to see the whole place! Customary to take shoes off in houses here, we do ask when we go to view these places and they say it’s fine to keep on.
There’s a lot of negotiation going on here, I’m sure you’d be able to find something similar or maybe better monthly at the moment, even within hotels as well!
ac only in bedrooms would make it a no deal for me....too hot and humid....I live in Fl, so I know the value of ac. Also the open shower making the bathroom wet is a deal breaker for $400.
Think you’re gonna find central ac in Cambodia? 😂 At 25 cents per kWh, you’ll know the value of ac all right! That is, when you get your first electric bill… [edit] I forgot, $.25 kWh is the apartment rate but even the government rate to ac an entire 3br house during the hot season might be as much as the rent!
Gas bottle location totally nuts! It blows and pretty much everyone in the studio is either dead or seriously burnt. Gas bottles should always be outside the building but obviously that safety issue is not considered in Cambodia. At least have it covered somewhere or run a gas hose (inside a PVC pipe) to the balcony and have the bottle there. Alternatively, buy a bin or something and place it inside to ensure that any leaking gas can be accidently ignited.
The apartment itself is Ok. But for $300 it’s overpriced when you can get places in the same area with pools, only 1 month deposit , No rubbish removal fees & away from that Temple noise. That’ll drive you nuts eventually. SR is massively overstocked with apartments & you could easily negotiate that down to $240 ish ……but the Temple music would be a deal breaker for most.
For sure. Great points made and there are some really great value places available at the moment. We will hopefully see some more very soon. And the prices always seem to be negotiable. Some even dropping $100+ off asking price. Some great deals here!!
Hi guys. Just subscribed which has increased your subscription numbers substantially!! :) I reeeeaaallly liked an apartment you walked through a while ago. I think it was a 2-bedder. Anyway, super interested in apartment views in Siem Reap so good luck over there. My Khmer wife and I just might have to fly back from Godzone :) and enjoy the lifestyle again!!
Haha you doubled it! 😂😂 Plenty of places popping up so if you ever need any support finding a place, reach out in our email, comments or to IPS! Best of luck 🙏🙏
Not all of them are. We understand that there are varying levels of what people are comfortable with moving to a whole new country. Some start there and then go more local. And some enjoy that part and stay. It’s all up to the individual.
in Se-asia its pretty common to have the kitchen outside in houses , stayed in many condos that have small gasstove and washing sink on the balcony and fridge waterboiler coffemachine and microwave inside..and many times its cheaper to buy readymade food outside or eat out than cook it home anyway,,
Nice place. Pretty good amount of space. Nice motorbike parking and gate as well as back up generator. Only thing that I didn't like is the depressing color scheme. Has that old hotel feeling. But it's a good price clean neat and serves you!! Best of luck!!
