Hi !!! Congratulations! I’m new to your channel and I was watching some of your other videos at Howard. Do you mind sharing how you went from there to Columbia for grad school ? I’ve heard Howard offers lots of programs and works with other schools to help get hbcu students to their grad programs?
For me, joining student orgs like the BSU (Black Student Union), ASA (African Student Assoc) and ESA (Ethiopian Student Assoc) helped with creating the wide network and family atmosphere that you are talking about. You still did feel alone sometimes, but that got better, the more involved you get. But I am also an old head, graduates in 2003.

That’s wild because I got to speak on a panel to hs kids as well back in November, it was for my cousin mother organization she created to help kids figure out their next steps after hs & giving them the tools/resources to be able to achieve it😌.
