I'm deeply regretted to note that so far I carried a wrong impression about you, for which now I feel pity about myself. If at all your opinion of economic growth in north India is assumed, not admitted, as true, you must know that mere economic growth is not the index of real growth in a multi religious and diverse society like ours. Harmonious and peaceful living of the people as children of one mother, which we were fortunate enough to enjoy during our childhood days, is the most essential factor of real development. Now, touching your heart, please introspect whether the said harmonious and peaceful living has been improved or declined across the country during the last 10 years. I am not referring to any torture and torments including killings being taken place against the minority community members across the country. If you are honest, it can be found that No government with insidious acts including draconian legislations having far reaching consequences targeting the major minority community in our country has ever ruled before. Eg. take the case of CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act 2019), which though ostensibly appears to be relating to somebody coming from 3 foreign countries, a close look at the said law and the related legislations like Foreigners Act, the Foreigners Order issued by the Central Govt, the Entry into India (Passport) Act, etc., categorically shows that the CAA 2019 and the simultaneous amendments made in the aforesaid Acts, except the Foreigners Act, that the CAA 2019 targets the the unfortunate real indigenous Muslim Indian nationals only, who are though real citizens of India, unable to prove their Indian citizenship with documentary evidence due to their lack of proper education, documents, etc. It's for the first time in the history of India that such a general law is enacted based on religion. To know about it, you must understand the definitions of "foreigner" under the Foreigners Act and "illegal migrant" under the Citizenship Act. As per Section 9 of the Foreigners Act, the burden of proof that you are a citizen of India is on yourself. If you fail to prove it with documentary evidence, then you are not a citizen of India. In other words, you are a foreigner. The law further declares that such a person, who fails to prove his/her Indian citizenship with documentary evidence, should hold a passport issued from a foreign country and also a valid visa issued from India, failing which the law declares him as an "illegal migrant". Naturally you and I, who live here believing that we are citizens of India, will not have such passport and visa and you and I or our parents/grand parents/neighbours, cycle rikshaw pullers seen in other parts of India, who fail to prove Indian citizenship with documentary evidence, become "illegal migrants" . The amendments brought by the bjp govt show that an illegal migrant is not entitled to even apply for Indian citizenship and he/she is liable to be deported or detained in prison/detention camp depriving him/her all rights and properties, including right to vote, which was being enjoyed. The underlining fact is that CAA 2019 read with the amendments brought in simultaneously in the aforesaid other related laws further shows that all similarly situated persons belonging to all 6 religious communities mentioned therein, except Muslim, are exempted from the category of "illegal migrant" and proceedings of deportation, etc. under the Foreigners Act and the Foreigners Order , if they apply saying that they came to India before 31/12/2014 from any of the 3 nations named therein (Pakistan, Afganistan or Bengladesh) and no proof in respect thereof is necessary. If you want and your email id is given, I shall elaborate these with relevant materials as it cannot be elaborated here due to paucity of space. How can you go hand in glove with such a party, which divides the people on the basis of religion ? Have you read what Vicharadhara authored by rss idealogue says about minorities in India ? Further, your opinion about growth in other parts of India except Kerala is also incorrect. Even in Delhi, within a distance of just 7 to 12 kms from the central Delhi, we can see people finding livilihood even now by riding manually cycle rikshaw and also living without a roof over head and answering the natures call at roadsides. Kerala is stifled and discriminated by the central govt without giving it the adequate financial support. We have seen this during the flood and now in Wayanad also. How could you join such a party ?
