Katie’s family moved 19 times by the time she was 19 years old.
But Now That We're A Family was born out a common thread they found in their big, relationship rich families - doing things together.
We believe that revival and change happen in the home - starting from an individual faith in Christ - and trickling down through a unified family vision, culture, and willingness to work through the messiness relationship brings.
We aim to provide resources and opportunities to tie heart strings with a light-hearted approach to intentionally strengthening family bonds.
A start-up company that needs revenue, all declared and jointly owned. Change lifestyle to pay off debt. Willingness to change it and embrace discomfort and sacrifices. Choose your friends wisely. They will influence how you live and spend. Live below your means to save some money. Ensure your revenue is higher in the future than it is now. You dont want sacrifices to be what you do long term. So after solving immediate problems with sacrifices, have a vision and strategy to do better in the future. Could be improving your skills, starting a business, getting a higher paying job, investing savings to generate income, etc. Money should not become an idol in your life, shouldnt be the first and last thing you think about. Do not sacrifice memories for money all the time. Keep perspective while pursuing this one goal.
Woop woop for tummy sleepers.. But 3 hours is too long to keep my baby awake.. she'll be over tired.. and that will not be fun. I like to stick to the 60- 90 Awake window...
Ummm I just NOW stumbled in this video and I love the encouragement! We buy from azure for our grain(just started in June) and some raw cheese but it's so great to hear your take on it. So so inspiring. Keep up the great work😊
This is phenomenal! I love your perspective on all of this! Building muscles in practicing! I have a 4yo and 2yo who I'm going to implement these games with. Can't wait to see all the good fruit to come!
A first time mum of a soon to be 3 year old boy here and I really appreciate all of your content. I love watching your marriage the respect you have for each other is so apparent. Me and my partner have gotten into the habit of spending zero screen free together to the point I feel like we wouldn't even know what to do with ourselves without the TV or phone in the evening 😂 something I'm hoping to get him on board with working on ASAP. Thank you both.
Thank you so much! We started having at home service on Friday so we set up our dinning room like the church and watch a sermon on RU-vid. The kids are required to sit and follow same rules as at real church except they have a blast because they have found it so fun ! It'll be temporarily in our routine as we learn together to sit still through service
So cool. I have been doing for 7 years. I make challah and whatever is easy and Lord provides dinner. I am big into Clorox wipes. Gets all clean. I call mine open house all welcome for food and fellowship...
I read sleep training books that talked about the dream feed, but you explained it better. I actually understand what it is now lol. Before I was thinking "why would I ever want to wake them up if they're sleeping so well?" It makes so much more sense now! Thank you!
They aren’t “Jewish Feasts” they are the appointed times/ feasts set up by God for his people. Jews were 1 of the 12 tribes of Israel, Jesus is coming back for the lost 10. We should be observing sabbath and the feasts/ set apart times, as they were set up and never done away with. Read your entire Bible, study and test everything against the scripture!!!
I'm super thankful that you do t shy away from.the controversial topics. It's so helpful to get honest input on things like diet during pregnancy, helping babies sleep well, etc.... some of us don't have a lot guidance from our mothers so it's so good to hear from ladies with wisdom on these topics!
Mommas of teens, what do they do to entertain themselves without screens? Our kiddos are not close in age so we have adults all the way down to one due in 4 wks…
Does this work for formula fed babies? We are adopting another baby in 5wks and my 10 month old is still not sleeping through the night, I want to sleep train both, so curious if this works for formula fed as well. And if you can still tummy sleep with formula fed since they tend to spit up more than breastfed babies…
I am revisiting this video for inspiration. My husband and I are wanting to work from home. Planning on making some extra money and saving for buying land and building our home.
Maybe I missed it, but I’m wondering if you do eat-play-sleep during the day? In other words, how do you get your babies to fall asleep during the day if you aren’t feeding them to sleep? Is it just by putting them on their tummy? Thanks!
I'm a mom of one and was wandering if you have a video of changes in your body and how to deal with them going for baby 2. I want another baby but stretch marks apeared in the first pregnancy so I'm afraid of my tummy looking even worse. Also wanted to know after having many kids a more raw dive on other changes like saggy skin or diastasis recti or may be problems having intercouse (?)
Hi Katie, i really miss your 5 am morning routine after miscarriage video it was so inspiring to me and i liked to watch it every other day when I needed some encouragement in my relationship with God… i just wanted to let you know when i found it it was such a blessing to me!
Thank you for this video. You inspired me to teach my 4 year old how to knit. At first, I thought “no way! She’s too young” but I’m surprised to learn that a) she’s super enthusiastic about learning, b) she’s actually picking it up quite quickly, and c) it provides such a good opportunity for bonding and some calm activities that don’t involve the screen. I’m also glad to hear your intermittent fasting! I’m doing the same because this is how my body feels best. I’m still seeing the scale climb faster than I expect, but since I know I’ve been eating whole food I just have to take it for what it is.
I have 5 kids (7 mo- 11 yrs) and I homeschool too, and this routine is next to impossible. Maybe you can get yourself on a roll for a few weeks? But not regularly, unless you are a very impressive and unusual person. Which she might very well be. I’m sorry, this message is mainly for anyone out there who feels bad about themselves after watching this or gets anxious trying to implement something similar and not be able to. Kids are a constant distraction (when it comes to perfect routines), throwing wrenches in your plans all day long . If I woke up at 5 am to go to the gym, and then did everything else for the family just to survive the day, I’d be done by 5 pm, and I don’t think I’m the unusual one. Be careful with things like this you all good intending mothers out there.
If we look back in history, intermittent fasting, even through pregnancy was a way of life. Thank you for talking about this and how it has helped you through pregnancy.
