These units are both designed to pull straight up on the tail posts that hold them onto your guitar. The color's are all just glued into place, because they are made to pull forward, not up! I was going to buy one of these two units, but then I realized how bad they are going to be for my guitars. I guess it's back to the original Bigsby for me.
I had duesenberg les trem it's way set up washer under it roll bridge wrap string right way lock are better duesenberg tuning head with hole like old fender one stick string down Shaff pull down tune up I had set on my duesenberg Special they great when feel string end trem lock in watch string end can Twist pop out . Make sure end bit is luck in . Then got lock in & roll bridge or rocker bridge and the tight up on tuner head lookvat your nut that can knock your tuning out on g & d & b clean slot use Nut sauce lubrication and Stretch your strings it's should work your string will settle in . Do I say it work Roll bridge nut+ lubricant Grafite settle on bridge ok too . I get old duesenberg les trem roll bridge on my gretsch bt duo jet It's got Chrome hardware but my bridge vtrem are gold use from Les paul uses to have . Gibson Neck angle different to gretsch . So just know that nut need cleaning lubricant . What material the nut is too . If it's Wise replace with oh I can't remember name Composite nut like bridge it will give better turning. get pro to fit it . Your chords sounds amazing with trem . With les trem duesenberg or goldo That other maker he make for duesenberg he smart guy design too goldo cheap too . I might got spell wrong on name . Galdo or guldo something like that . Ok 👍
My guykertrem came with both a light and heavy spring. Quility is good enough for my epiphone. Oil the pivot points lightly - It stays in tune perfect; great!
If you have ever pulled out a tail piece fitting, you know how easily they come out... Both of these units do just that! They pull straight up on those posts, which is not what they were designed to do. I wanted one of these as well, and I know they can both be made friction free, and return to pitch... But it's a bad design.
@jeffmckinnon5842 pulling out stud anchors is not a big deal. Ive had 2 pt strat trems do that as well. Reseting and reglue them is an opportunity to set them better than they were, and it will not happen again for a long, long time.. Not a bad design at all IMHO. Pretty clever actually and I stand by my post. Two of my guitars have them now..
It’s not perfect but the sound is amazing, I just learned to conform myself to the set, it’s not perfect but if you learn to hit the drum head in the middle, I would read and search information before buying, Happy Drummer
For anyone in the same situation, there is a hole covered by clear plastic on the side. You release the cartridge lock by sticking a pen's ink catridge or other thin object in there. Doesn't help if there is a disk loaded, but if your disks are all in the cart this is a much easier way to go.
Thank you for taking the effort and sharing this! From another fellow non-native English speaker: don't worry, we all struggle, even native speakers frequently don't know many names of objects or parts 😉.
Hey dude, you posted a video with the Mooer Drum Software BUT no instructions on how to USE THE SOFTWARE. I just bought one and am struggling with the software like how to program different drums rhythms in the same track; would you consider doing a HOW TO use the software video? I'd really appreciate it!
Trem systems usually fail because of improper configurations. Floating, term, roller bridge and locking tuners MINUS a gazillion string wraps on the pegs should fix the issues.
The main reason that I didn't buy the Guyker was that it didn't come with 4 gold-plated washers. You need those for carved tops and arched tops! I paid a little more for two original OEM Les Trems on Black Friday. They came without the retail box, but who cares? I use them on my Ibanez Artist AR30BK that already has an Art Deco headstock, and on my Suzuki ES-335 replica. I'm pretty satisfied. Much cheaper than an entire Duesenberg guitar! Btw, I would buy a separate spring from Duesenberg or Bigsby to make that Guyker work.
I had a similar problem with a different bridge (XGP Xtrem). Ironically I got the Guyker to replace that and it was ok. But it's exactly the same problem, the spring doesn't go back to center, there's a huge range which it binds on itself. Thought it was a problem with the design of the trem, because the spring binds on the walls of slot where it sits, but from the looks of it, it's the spring itself. The unit came with 2 springs both with the same problem!
Ok so these trems always need a roller bridge and roller nut, i know the sites dont mention it enough, but they really need them, that said ,this is still based on 1950's technology, the only stable trem you can install on a gibson tune o matic fitted guitar is the floyd rose frx system , once properly set its solid, however: its big, ugly, expensive, and would cover over a third of that beautiful rose on your guitar, another option that would be maybe a middle ground , is the stets bar, its not as stable as the FR but it looks better and has a more classic feel even though it works completely differently from traditional trems or even a floyd rose, i hope this helps, and i hope you find something that works for you feel and sound wise 👍
Can't get mine to work in Win 11 Home. Doesn't show up in Device Manager so it's not connecting to the computer and will not connect to the software Editor either! Went through ALL of the USB checks too. Looks nice but that's where it ended.
Good video. My experience is different with the Guyker though. I do have a roller bridge which helps. Also I lube the nut slots, and stretch the strings in like crazy. Not perfect but reasonable in my style which is a slight warble and no dive bombing
Other than for guitar tricks, I've only seen anyone playing a string instrument that way on lap steel, or Asian traditional instruments where the instrument lays flat parallel to the ground, it's very impressive to watch it in an upright position. I really liked your review: straight to the point from the start, covering the voltage topic that most people forget about, mentioning that batteries aren't all equal (if I remember correctly, it was due to their internal resistance, putting a different load on the device they power), and you did the unboxing at the end, which normally is the least interesting part, however you're more eager to watch if you like the device, instead of just skipping it like when it's at the beginning! It was a good one, I hope you decide to upload more videos.
Idk if you're already noticed, but both of your Les Terms are guyker lol, and probably friction here is your worst enemy, plus the spring on it seems quite nice
I'm almost in the market But I see a possible problem with this type set up The strings MAY BE TOUCHING the insides of the bridge. Over a short time this will cause string breakage. I feel that the string should come over the top of the bridge, not in the groove. Maybe more like the Bigsby bridge piece where you place the string eye on to a catch.
