You guys rock! I've enjoyed so much your podcast. Think I'm about to listen to all of them. Love the intimacy of the chat, the different experiences. I work with tennis players (young pros and juniors) as a mental and breathing coach, and the experiences heard are very enriching for parents and juniors with pro tennis player dream.
One of my favorite players! Great interview and it was so nice to hear @mariasakkari speak in a different place than a presser. Insightful, funny...thanks!
I'd like to see an episode with my favorite Angie Kerber. Because Angie has always been my tennis idol, and she deserves that we pay tribute to her after her retirement. As a tennis legend, unlike Bouchard who has no interest, eh...
Indeed :) we record while Caro is competing so for the moment we just record with one iPhone and sometimes the room is tricky. We are working on a better solution for season 2 though. Thank you for watching 🤍
not sure if the subtitles appear automatically or it is managed. Either way, it needs to be improved as it is not always correct. Otherwise a great podcast and fun atmosphere.
How nice is this podcast! I watched all the episodes. All were good, but I was not big fan of Moratoglou and Geny Bouchard. After the episodes, I pretty start admiring them. Congrats Carol and Duran for this job!
Amazing podcast. I've listened to several and all have been really amazing. Totally recommended. It's like a cozy place for invitees and listeners. And Caroline is just such a soft and kind voice, along with Borja's. Great podcast guys!!
what strikes me is how this woman not one time blamed anyone for her emotional journey or did she say negative things about anyone, purely a person who seeks peace and happiness and success…. Love your spirit ❤
Loved this episode! Luisa is so funny and relatable! I really enjoyed hearing about her excitement for the Olympics and her past experience winning a medal. I thought it was very cool that she enjoyed hearing stories from the fans about what they were doing or experiencing while watching her match! Thank you for the great podcast :)
Great podcast. Nick actually appears to be a nice guy when he's at the center of people's attention. What struck me, is that he's comparing himself with Federer and Nadal. Although, he's obviously a talented player, he doesn't have the backbone to perform at the highest level for more than one or two consecutive matches at a given tournament. He's beaten the best at times, but he isn't nearly as brilliant and consistent as the big three. When push comes to shove, he's just a talented player with a very big mouth and anger issues. He's not even a footnote in tennis history.
Played for fun for most of his career & didn't take it too seriously, yet he still beat top players. Mostly after a night out drinking & no prep. Imagine if he had the tools the others had at their disposal? He hasn't got anger issues but is not a robot & doesn't play the fool! He calls out BS & I applaud him for that. Imagine being the only guy to stand up for someone you're beefing with knowing you'd be hated by half your country & half the world? Nick stood up for Novak when nobody else would, not for fame & benefit, but because he thought it was the right thing to do! His haters are either gullible (believing media sensationalism) or don't like hearing the truth!
I'm taking inspiration from Maria's attitude towards her career. Winning matches and tournaments is obviously important, but it's more important and satisfying to know that you did your best.
Please take time to read the full court report and agreed statement from the case. There was no allegation of abuse of any kind. One allegation of pushing aside a person who was preventing him from closing the door of a taxi in which he was trying to leave the scene of an argument. Leaving the scene is the correct thing to do. They continued to travel the world for another ten months.
Nick's first love was basketball. His parents wanted him to play tennis. Considering he hasn't had a coach for most of his career, he is more than talented! I really like his authentic personality.
As always, great episode. Thank you for doing these. Yes it’d be nice to see the video like a round table where I can see everyone. However, I typically just listen while I’m doing something else. OH! I’d love to hear Mladenovic’s story. Haha, I keep thinking of new guests every week.
great podcast but @11:53 and moments like this would benefit from the reference of when the video was shot, to understand the context; in this podcast I believe it was recorded during Wimbledon, one day after "goooooooood night" from the GOAT ; @22:34 has Nick really won any M1000, let alone "a couple'?
Thank you for your feedback! You are right, next time we will make sure to add some context if needed, but you are right again, it was recorded during Wimbledon :) Thanks for watching!!
Another good podcast. You really help humanize the players, if you only know them from their play on the court it's easy to get a distorted perspective. Shows like this and what Kasatkina is doing makes it easier to root for players and maybe stop some of the quick judgements. The ATP and WTA should be grateful.
Two comments. First, they don’t ask any hard Qs. The guy didn’t get his image for nothing. The issue with Stan W. The guy behaved in a disgusting manner. No Qs on that issue as if the media hated him for nothing. Second, there is an idiom of wanting something when yo cannot do it anymore. He is exactly this cliche. The guy in the past said he cannot watch a match. Now he wants it as a job. I am sure he would like his current Brian when he was 21. And instead than asking this q which was screaming you continued to lick his ass.
Great podcast! Showing players other side, us fans only see the player side but your conversations show their "human" side and the complexity of their lives.
@@TennisInsiderClub Hopefully you will be able to support him during this difficult time when he has been goaded into writing something online by a very nasty troupe of 'fans'. It would be sad if he lost his career as a commentator because he stood up to the establishment.
