Bro this edit was awesome, I love how you followed color guard in the beginning and panned over the band and Drumline throughout the show. Great edit, definitely the best of my band that I’ve ever seen
@CheetahSpot09YT it was amazing. I can upload an unlisted video and send you a link if you want. BTW, do you have discord? It's a bit easier to chat there than in yt comments lol
Was watching from behind and that golden banner was one of the most incredible things I've ever seen in a high school marching band. Also, over 150 wind players? That's actually insane. What an amazing band. Their Grand Champion winning was SO well deserved.
@@coasters_bgw BRO I JUST FOUND YALL AND MY JAW DROPPED!!! Yo when you came out from behind that prop that was amazing! And then I saw one of your bass drums had two drums on it 😮 how is that even possible??? Great job!
@CheetahSpot09YT yo thanks!!! I love our show. And yeah, we have a double bass drum because our drum line is too small lol. Thanks for the praise!! Love yalls show too
I'm working on a multi-cam edit of this year's show using as many angles as I can get, may I use this with credit? That would include a link to your channel and this video in the description, and your channel name in white text in the bottom left corner of the video. Thank you!
I'm currently on the Marching staff at Salem high school and I'm also a 1987 Kmk alumni I marched 5th Bass I was so happy I was able to see kmk at the Tidewater championship and had an amazing opportunity to meet a talked to some of the members
Always loved Great Bridge's band. Been a fan since the 1980's. There was always a level of para-military structure and discipline and it still is there today! Great job!
omg you were GREAT! meanwhile i’m struggling with the folk dances clarinet part 💀 my favorite part of the experience was sitting in those wonderful chairs ✨✨✨
Who did Joseph Curiale's Joy better: these fellas, 2005 Carolina Crown, or 2007 Troopers? Who did Shostakovich's Tenth Symphony better: these guys, 2002 Phantom Regiment, 2007 Blue Knights, 2010 Boston Crusaders, 2017 Seattle Cascades, or 2015 Cadets? Who did Diamond(s) better: these guys or 2017 Blue Devils? I'd vote these guys because the Blue Devils didn't really play the music, they just played samples from it. Not only did York actually play the music, they played it very well!
It's interesting that their arrangement of Incantation by Benoit Jutras reuses elements of 2005 Southwind and 2005 Bluecoats' respective arrangements of the same piece. I enjoyed watching this!
What is happening to Virginia Beach/ Hampton Roads/ Virginia Music Programs?. Kempsville was a powerhouse back in the day. Is band/ Music Education not a thing? Anyway great job Kempsville. Keep striving for excellence.
@sugaryshadows You are correct. My mother worked for the VB System a while ago and I do recall her stating that they were cutting funding in Music Education.
@@burdrchitect1680 It's unfortunate, and widespread throughout Virginia Beach especially. COVID played a major factor, it was hard to build back from the pandemic, though bands were still relatively small beforehand, too.
@sugaryshadows 💯. I now live in a BOA county in GA, and it's so hard watching my hometown bands bc you see the possibilities that can happen when the music education is taken seriously. I will continue to pray and hope for a growth in Musical Education programs in VA. Thanks for the videos!!!
I did not record Kempsville at Tallwood, and I won't bore folks by trying to explain choices there. Because you asked, however, I added Kempsville to my very short list of prelims bands to record at the Tidewater Marching Championships. So, if you wanted Kempsville on RU-vid, here you go. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UqZj6mLZy3g.html
