I just learned the sad news of Mr. Belafonte's death- another icon from my youth gone... Accolades for all he accomplished seem insufficient, but I'm so glad that I grew up a a time when people like Harry, Sidney Poitier, Nat King Cole, etc. were part of the zeitgeist and working hard to make our country and world a better place through their artistry and activism... R.I.P., Harry- you will be remembered!
