you all forgot what happened to Hideo Kojima. yet you all fall to a corp reselling you a game that screwed over the original creators and og writers and engineers. you all are why there isnt anything that happens.
AWESOME interview. It comes off as way more personal than promotional...although you missed the one question I've *always* wanted asked; _Is Solid Snake's real name based on Kojima's original idea or was is inherited by David Hayter?_
Ahh but come one David Hayter, we all know though that Big Boss didn't just turn for the sake of MGS3. We then have him captured captured and again cheated by Zero after putting differences aside and helping him, to find he stole your DNA to continue the Clone Project which he had already shut Para Medic down on. Then Les Enfants Teribles project to use as insurance if Big Boss would refuse to continue this IDOLIC SYMBOL of his which he knew of from the end of MGS3 his mission to kill The Boss. You then go off on your own and your set up again, but your made to beleive its Cypher ran by Zero but over powered by Skull Face that attacked his base putting him in a 9 year coma. Then when you wake up as Venom and it leaks Cypher tries as Big Boss again. Zero needed ending no matter what, its just a shame that Snake was lured into Zanzibar land by those against him and Zero gains his ICON enduring Big Boss remains comatosed JD System.... so we now can add that Zero forced him into a coma for years. Luckily it was also part of his plan and could entrust the only one loyal person he knew wouldn't betray him, Ocelot. As he uses snake to do the work for him, they manage to end the patriot system, free Big Boss so he can end Zero. End of the day Big Boss didn't have to explain any of this to Snake, but he owed it to him to explain and to live on as a free man, or he could have just walked away after killing Zero and live on as he knew of FoxDie and how it would kill him. And as for Snake I definitely agree about him as a character but also that he is also more like The Boss and what her ideologies actually were. Maybe Big Boss saw this in him where he couldn't in Solidus or... well definitely not in Liquid.
Got to meet him this past weekend at FanExpoSF. Super nice and down-to-earth. Got a photo, autograph and personalized recording with him. Also met Cam Clarke too(Liquid Snake). 😊❤
1998 overall was an amazing year for storytelling in video games, you had Metal Gear Solid of course but you also had games like Half-Life and Fallout 2. While of course aiming for different experiences than Metal Gear Solid all three helped contribute to the idea that video games can have better stories.
What i really wanted to know is his view on X-men dark pheoneix and the fact the Writing and narative flow was so fake and emotionally perverted like all the x-men where incapable of controling their feelings they had to argue about everything and it was werird like a mind virus took the franchise over and ran it head first in to the ground. I would love to see a GUYVER REBOOT if Hayter scripts it but not many producers are intrested in the "arc" because it's such a meta arc like Devilman/guyver could be the same narative but seen perspectivly diffrent one being demons the other alien mutants. i however do think Guyver NEEDs a reboot to just kick DC in the balls over Bluebeetle Plagrism (damn even used a prop from 5th element) but there is V that 5 being used over n over revolving aournd some fracnchises.
@@BloodAssassin probably a good thing...we dont want another twin snakes incident...not to say david or any of the cast was bad for that game in their performance...its just the original mgs audio was like catching lightning in a bottle...its like any remake in any medium done, history shows original is always generally unsurpassed etc.
@@seeker2657wrong. Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1978 is superior to the original per critics and audience ratings. Another example is Resident Evil 2. Both critics and audiences consider it to be superior to the original. Remakes can be better than the original.
@@troletrainVery rare exceptions dont make the rule...as for critics and audience ratings as the be all end all as a true metric is debatable, especially collated within the last decade...resi 2 remake is the perfect example for this...resi 2 original is vastly superior imo and in many others...in 20 years perhaps the overall conclusion will catch up to the truth, resi 2 remake was and is a hype job. The body snatchers example is more plausible, but even then...is it truly. I played a remake recently...final fantasy 7 reamke, it was utter trash compared to the original...and thats not rose tinted glasses, thats ff7 original is truly superior. I Suspect many say the new super mario rpg is better then the snes version...thats more plausible...even then, the snes version might be better ...its a close call unlike that lackluster resi2 remake etc.
The RE2 Remake is fantastic. Maybe not better than the OG, but it's at least on par. Both great games in different ways. The new RE4 remake is also easily on par with the original, and I say that as someone who has original RE4 in my top 10 games of all time. Lots of people also consider John Carpenter's The Thing to be a far superior remake of The Thing From Outer Space, but I personally view it simply as a far more faithful version of the book, totally separate to the other film.
