Ambipom’s decent. I have dark Tera on mine. Normal Gem fake out, then technician boosted Thief to potentially steal a Life orb or something useful from the opponent while dealing decent damage. Protect to scout, and Foul Play to chunk slower high Attack mons.
Super cool team again. I might add u turn to your ambipom though so it can u turn the tortera (activating weakness policy and using an item) with the, being a bit more clueless about what’s going on. You might also be able to switch out tortera then use the fake out but I’m not sure if that work because of how priority does
Oh wow that’s actually a really good idea. Allows more flexibility on the team and more fake out options. In that case I’d run silk scarf on ambipom over normal gem and be able to get more fake out turns
Nah the read on T-tar was fucking goated bro. I wish Ambipom was better. I used to use it back in Gen 4 with the whole fling double hit but I don't remember if it did great damage. Still a good strat tho
How does the tera influence base power moves <60 damage? I’ve heard somewhere that if moves are <60 damage, if you tera, that automatically brings that move’s damage to 60 damage. How would this factor in multi hitting moves? I’m not confident if my understanding is correct.
the base power itself doesnt actually change, its just you get an extra stab boost that boosts the total damage. however the base power stays the same no matter what
While Conversion PZ is cool I feel like it's kinda a waste. If the goal is to tera-ice PZ anyway then Nasty Plot over Conversion would've given you a way bigger damage boost than Tera Ice-ing ontop of your Conversion-Ice. If you Conversion first and then Tera Ice, PZ's Blizzard gets a x2.25 damage boost. If you JUST Tera Ice, then because of Adaptability, the Blizzard is already x2 anyway, so with Nasty Plot you would've gotten a way bigger damage boost overall. Could've even used Agility instead so that PZ can outspeed more mons instead of Conversion or Nasty Plot. The only reason for Conversion to really be useful is because it makes you not reliant on using the Tera on PZ to get stab on your Blizzard, but even then Nasty Plot would've given you the same damage boost as becoming Ice type to get the x2 boost on Blizzard. Not trying to hate, I think it's a fun strat either way but technically speaking it's not really optimal xD
Oh no I agree with you 100% 😂, it’s not optimal for sure but we do it for funsies and just to showcase stuff that we usually don’t get to see. But you’re 100% right
Insane, i did some damage calculations with Feebas and it can OHKO a lot of mons with this strat, i forgot it has Adaptability as ability and it's what make Flail more broken once it Tera
To get clapped by a Feebas, I would just stop playing the game lol. I'm glad that they are a lot of things to use in battles now. These are ranked right? I play casual but always see the same OP mons (legendaries) and i'm just over it. Also what did you mean by Hisuian Typhlosion with Chlorophyll?
Yep these are all ranked battles I don’t enjoy casual. I enjoy playing for rank and then casual it’s too many legendaries lol. And yea I must’ve misspoken there 😂
Do you play ranked with these teams? If so, hats off to you. I tried the Gothitelle team in ladders (I'm around rank 2500) and I got smashed game after game lol
Yep I play only rank, I don’t like doing casual. Now don’t get me wrong, gonna be rly hard to push high rank with these off meta teams but it’s definitely fun and satisfying to get wins with them. I’m sitting at 7500 elo right now which isn’t too bad considering all the off meta stuff I use
Good video cisco! So I have three things I wanna mention First Masbotiff gave me a idea of the Stakeout ability, I think is such a underrated ability and no one uses it and I thought I was about to see that on the video lol, if you don't wanna use Mabostiff again maybe perhaps another mon? I think it can work really well it you force switch outs somehow Second thing is a observation, I really like how your teams almost always somehow has a balanced core with one of these types: Psychic / Dark / Fight Fairy / Dragon / Steel Fire / Water / Grass This make the team always more playable and more balanced against most matchups, so well done with the teambuilding The third and final thing is that I would really like to see the opponent's rating before the battle starts, I don't know what your opinion is on this, but I would like you to consider showing it
Yea I’ve considered stakeout and I might use it with a gumshoos, I think that would be rly cool And thank you bro !! I always try to include once of those cores to have coverage across the squad and have ways of actually pulling out these wins with off meta pokemon And I have no issue at all showing opponents rank before each battle. I could definitely do that
In the second battle, the Pult had clear body, not infiltrator, so if you protected, the pantom force wouldn't go through?. You could have wasted their Phantom Force PP.
Great team! Would be super good to if you mixed wyrdeer with an eject pack so if you get the skill swap intimidate of it can escape (you could add to that with an indeede to give gothetelle some extra spice so that when you get of there’s instantly psycic terrain for expanding force along with the bonus)
Oh I loveeee the eject pack idea, that’s really good, allows for more momentum. And tbh there wasn’t much need for our Sitrus berry so def could use that item instead. And yea I was considering the Indeedee to set up psychic terrain to rip expanding forces but ultimately went with Sinistcha for healing purposes. But rly love your ideas !!
Man i hate Lilligant. It's just a 50/50. Don't understand why people would want to play like that. Felt good that you beat it after 3 sleeps in a row though!
Oh it felt so good for them to have missed that one sleep powder and beat them at the end there. And yea it’s expected, either sleep powder or after you. It’ll always be one of the two
Bro that first battle turn 1! Amazing! Mabostiff is such an underrated pokemon with its ability Great job on this vid my guy Btw I see that Mabostiff name lmao
Yep we have a little beagle, he’s 9 already. He was our first pup and then we got a German shepherd. Unfortunately we had to put our German shepherd down due to cancer so we’re left with our beagle. He’s absolutely adorable and loud 😂
37:04 if you had skill swapped either of the other two Pokémon at this point, you would’ve been in a better spot. Sure they get intimidate, but you either make hydreigon super weak to Uraluna or remove comfey’s priority
Actually the first battle. Espeon was left, you had only spread moves and they had wideguard hitmontop. Could you had protect and stalled your psy terrain? Therefore expanding force is no longer spread move. Would that work? It was 2 vs 1 and im not sure how many turns of terrain you had left.
Yeaaaa that would’ve been a rly good idea. It didn’t even cross my mind. I definitely could’ve stalled out terrain BUT I feel like once terrain ended they would’ve stopped wide guarding and attacked with Pelipper
Ohhhhhhhh that’s such a smart play, I didn’t even think of doing so. Wow, but they might’ve switched from wide guard to an attacking move w Pelipper I think
