I have been studying my Bachelors Biochemistry degree in my university and What I have learnt during this degree is that, You have to prepare your lecture on your own, Prepare lecture notes, take time to research on the lecture topic and gather as much information as you can, because its biochemistry and exams can include information from any source. Make notes physically available and make sure to revise them once or twice a semester and then assess your abilities.
I keep doubting what degree to do at university 😭 I want to do something biology/chemistry related but I don’t know which specific degree to do. My favourite A-Level is probably Chemistry, but I don’t know if that’s just because of the subject or because I really like the teachers, and vice versa, I don’t know how much I like biology or if it’s just the teachers that I sometimes find difficult (they are lovely but sometimes go very much off topic and it’s quite frustrating lol). I’ve been reading A is for Arsenic by Kathryn Harkup and I find this book really interesting (it talks about different poisons and the way they interact with the body and why they kill etc). I did the Chemistry Olympiad and found that really fun to do as well. My favourite topic in biology is biological molecules, talking about protein structure, polysaccharides, lipids etc, and I also enjoyed the DNA part and enzymes. But I also really enjoy chemistry, I can’t decide what degree to do. I want to do something that combines both and kind of has both equally but I don’t know :( if anyone watching has any tips that would be great!
i'm in hs and i can't choose between biomedical engineering and biochem 😭 i'm literally so scared of the expectations of college because the hs i'm in is not teaching me shit lmaoo
I think Biochemistry/Molecular Biology are the best medical or Biology related science because they pretty much explain everything happening in a living system. I mean nothing exists without Biochemistry...the only problem is the student debt.
I'm studing Community Health officer CHO in medicine 💉 and Biochemistry is difficult for me to understand.i am very happy to hear and getting your relevant notes, thanks u continue to do the good job!!!!
I declared biochem as my major not knowing what tf biochem is because I didn’t like the chemistry major my school offered 🏃♀️ Thanks for telling me what this is
Hi. Not sure whether you still follow this thread but my daughter has just been allocated Quads for 23, just need to know, will she need a single or double quilt on the bed, thinking, can a double tuck down the side or not? Thank you. Loved yr video..yr wardrobe looks just like my daughters room! Home from home 😂
Hi, I do try and follow it haha! They’re singles :) I can’t quite remember if there’s room to tuck down the side though sorry to not be more help - hope she has a fab time!
Could u make a video that which type of person will be better in biochem(like how to know this major fits for me) cuz i love the sound of most modules u said but the thing is im not sure if its actually a good fit to my personality or not
Hey lovely. Thank you for this. I recently got accepted into applied molecular bio and biochem at my dream school. What should i carry with me in my bag for labs/lectures? Thank youuuu
I have found a tik tok meme where guy "turned in 20 assignments and made the biggest comeback teachers have ever seen in there 20 years of teaching". Hopefully that will be me
I'll be going to uni in a few months to study undergrad biochemistry. I read a few textbooks in my sophomore and junior year of high school to familiarize myself with stuff (Michaelis Menten, Edman Degradation) to sort of prepare for this, but i'm super anxious. Hopefully I remember to update this lmao.
Love your accent, Biochemistry is a fascination area to Major in. If I could go back and do it all over again. I Would choose Biochemistry as a potential area to major in. I always had an interest in Learning and studying about Cancer, learning all about the different type of chemo medicines. How they are developed and how they affect the Human Body and why. I know that students that don't go to medical school usually choose a Biochem Major as an alternative 😉.
Wow. This video was so helpful! I've been watching several videos trying to figure out what is biochemistry and what exactly a biochemistry student will come across in Uni and this was the most relevant and informative. Thank you so much. Also, the way you speak and body language helps alot. You're giving off so much postive energy, that I someway somehow feel motivated and excited to pursue Biochemistry. Thanks alot.
i’m watching this in january of my first year, i feel like semester one was so fun but i really want to focus on maximising what i can take from uni, both educationally and in terms of self growth, so this is really helpful and i’ll definitely keep all your tips in mind for semester 2 ☺️ Also, fellow Bath student !!!❤️❤️
The audition is based on ability in Singing, Dance and Acting - you do various things for each and there’s an interview/written element So yes people applying have experience of those already at this stage of training :) hope that helped!
