@cameronfane1 The grades on the Dwellingup branch are quite steep, W945 doesn't have the power to bring a full train up the hill from Isandra without the help of the two diesel locomotives. They maintain constant radio contact as to not apply too much power and derail.
enjoyed. my favourite part was 8:06, the l class. c class without the makeup. i used to think of it as death row but now we know they are only in long term hibernation. they may all end up getting resurrected eventually. excepting extreme circumstances, no c will ever get chopped up.
@bensbins Thanks mate, unfortunately the freight timetable was privatised early this year and moved to an arc infrastructure domain so it's very difficult to access. Only way to get the info would be to know someone with an account or who works in the Railways. Woodbridge is a great spot though and the signals usually tell you when a train is coming.
Nice collection there, one would think when the shed staff washed CBH006 (8:01) that they would have taken off the "wheel spit" off the front of the loco.
Despite your paying "respect" to those who died in some of those incidents depicted, why create and post the video in the first place? That negates your supposed "respect". None of what you see is funny - it is extremely traumatising for those involved.
That was the 2019 Jumperkine collision. It occurred when Pacific National intermodal 7MP5 collided with the rear of 2K66 Watco grain. It was caused by an incapacitated driver and multiple fall safe malfunctions. I'll link the ATSB report here: www.atsb.gov.au/publications/investigation_reports/2019/rair/ro-2019-022
I advise you to add a V/Line N class which has once been crashed into by a runway train, and one particular locomotive, N475 has been crashed into trucks 3 times.
Part of Metronet's new additions is a transformation of the Armadale line to raise the track between Victoria Park and Cannington, also upgrading the stations between Victoria Park and Amradale/Thornlie. The upgrade plans to remove the level crossings in the raised section improving safety of the passengers and drivers, both road and rail. The Armadale line is the only line that links up with the freight line at Mundijong jctn and with the line closed, the Australind has no way of accessing Bunbury. Metronet is also upgrading the Australind ADP/ADQ railcars to more modern C-series based railcars. With this change the current railcars have been taken out of service and have been preserved, with ADP102, ADQ121 & ADP103 at HVTR Pinjarra Sheds, ADP101 at the S.W. Heritage centre in Boyanup, and ADQ122 at Bunbury. The shutdown is due to last until late 2025 and Transperth rail replacement buses for the Armadale/Thornlie line will be in use, as well as TransWA coaches to from Bunbury, with one service going via Armadale and Pinjarra, and the other going via the Kwinana Fwy. Hope this helps!
Thank you for all of the detailed information, it's sad that the line will be down so long, but in the long run everything should be better,@@watrainfilms8520
