Hi Guys Thinking of a trip to Koh Samui next year. Last time we stayed at Chaweng Regent (I don’t think it’s there anymore). Is Chaweng beach still a better location than Lamai beach?
Its at the lower end of the scale compared to your situation, but last week checking out of a Bangkok Hotel they tried to charge me 100B for a missing spoon! Unlucky for them, they had already given me back the cash deposit before they checked the room, so I simply said 'I don't have your spoon' and walked out. Needless to say I wont be back there again, so their loss in the long run. Tricky if you had given them your cc details on check in.
Many times had room checked in Thailand and many other parts of the world without incident. Of all thngs ,a scatched TV and claim they have photos . Did they charge you as I certainly would not be paying 😢
Checking the room is fairly standard practice in better hotels. It is generally to make sure nothing has been left behind, rather than checking for damage. The "crack" on the TV screen is a weird occurrence though - does sound a bit of a scam.
@@greyhound804 checking happens most of the time, even at better hotels and resorts. Ever gotten an unknown charge on your room after you’ve left; ever paid a security deposit; ever had a hotel have you swipe your credit card for surety?

Thanks ! Koh Samui is so beautiful ! I also love Koh Phan Ngan and Koh Tao .I intend to travel to Thailand at the end of next year.Not sure if I should visit Samui , Krabi , Phuket or Koh Chang !
not sure what the attraction is to traveling thousands of miles to go there. New Orleans has all that in their French Quarter, and they speak English too.
Fitzroy Island is a nice place by the looks of it. I haven't been there yet. I will put it on my bucket list for future visits. Thanks for the video guys.
