This is a truly outstanding humanitarian initiative, a genuine investment in People! People whom desperately needed help as they were unable to provide for themselves. Immense respect to the people that make it happen, and in doing so, hugely improve the quality of life, and physical and mental well-being of those they care for.
On face value appears to be tax money spent to violate international humanitarian law. Lets us pray the individuals appointed to administer such are of an ethical nature & focus on informed consent.
why end homelessness when the directors of the programs are being paid 250k. Do you think they really want to end homelessness? 1000 jobs would disappear. This county is corrupt and lawless. Light pollution, compared to many other issues, may seem less serious. But it ties into a lot of other problems. It's a waste of energy--light that goes into the sky is light that isn't being used. Especially lights which are left on all night for no reason. It contributes to insomnia. It disrupts animal behavior. And while not being able to see the stars might seem frivilous, it's just another example of us being deprived of a connection to nature.

Housing needs to be farther out in communities that are cheaper to live in. Housing in the Los Angeles area is far too expensive. Tiny homes need to be built to house the homeless in areas that have the most affordable housing.
“It weighs more than a tank” is incorrect a D8 R fire dozer weighs approximately 90,000 pounds while an M1 A2 sep V3 Abrams is significantly over 140,000 pounds. and even the lightest modern day MBT’s are still over 100,000 pounds.
