The Japanese plane that participated in World War II is the Mitsubishi A6M Zero, also known as the "Zeke" by Allied intelligence². They were designed by the famous aircraft designer Jiro Horikoshi. The aircraft was exceptionally fast and agile, allowing Japanese pilots to outperform older Allied aircraft, and had a long range suitable for the Pacific theater of operations².🇮🇶🌹🙏🇯🇵

The A6M Zero was a good fighter at the beginning of WW2 and was definitely a lethal threat in the hands of the right pilot. Obviously, there were several design flaws that proved to be fatal in combat. The fact that it didn't have self sealing fuel tanks meant that if it took a hit in the right place, it was lights out. When the Allies captured an intact Zero and flight tested the hell out of it, it was discovered that it had trouble with a diving right turn and got into serious trouble. As soon as this was discovered and word got out, this was exploited heavily and that pretty much devastated the Zero's inventory.
Look how perfect and exact the nose cones are and how they are able to spin so beautifully without losing any of that flawless paint coat. What an amazing machine. Thank you for sharing your luck with so many people.
Hi Kevin, I am currently making a 10 mminute documentary about WWII and I would love to use some of your footage of Zeros from this video. We are all volunteers and this is non-profit project but I'll be happy to include you in the credits. Happy to answer any questions. Please confirm. Best regards from the Netherlands, Peter Salz
I toured this magnificent aircraft in Baker City Oregon. I grew up in Portland Oregon and had a gas station with a B17 for shade and cover on McLaughlin Blvd. This nose section came if that landmark B17. Enjoyed talking with the crew.
My dad was a tail-gunner in a Flying Fortress during WWII, was shot down over Germany, taken prisoner, held for almost a year, and lived to tell about it!
I was a Mech.,Plane Captain ADR-3 on one of these with VAW-13 Zappers in the mid sixties, I bet I could start one up today, I had the procedure burned in my memory.
As a civilian i think the T38 is one of the sharpest sleekest looking jets ever produced . Its lines and curves are beautiful its a flying Corvette!!! It literally looks like some modern stealth coating should be put on it and it still should be serving!
Very nice video of “our Betty” 🥰 (Sentimental Journey) - I’ve been inside her on the ground, but haven’t been able to come up with the spare change 😂 to actually go up in her (it’s expensive). I live near SJ’s home base - Falcon Field, Mesa, Arizona (CAF Airbase Arizona).
Magnifique « close up » du B-29 et du B-24!! C’était pour remplacer et pour le respect que le spectacle aérien n’a pu eu lieu et remplacer par ça? 💔😢 N’oublions jamais Never forget 💔😢
