I haven't run in the journey run so not 100% sure but to my knowledge I think the winflo maybe a bit more cushion but the journey might have a bit more of a breathable upper. But like I said I haven't worn the journey run though they might be a good one to check out and save some money
@@Zeus-o7e I wish I had an answer for you. But to be 100% honest I haven't tried a wide enough range of shoes to give you an answer. Sorry I couldn't help but hopefully in the future I have the ability to test more shoes to help more 😊
Run in Peg39 and have bought a pair of Winflo11 for every day and half marathon - would these stand up for a half marathon?? (5’7” and 70kg for context). Love your content by the way. Refreshing.
@@paulmarcus9647 hey Paul thank you for the kind words! I appreciate it🙏😊 personally as I go up to the half or full marathon distance I'd want something with a little more cushion to protect the legs. But both the peg39 and winflo11 with be fine just keep in mind the legs will probably fatigue sooner than a more cushioned shoe like the Nike invincible or Nike Vomero 😊 do you have any races booked?
Very bad shoes only made for running, the store guy suggested me win flow 11 for multi purpose when i had 4km walking it hurts my leg and ankle so much. Not recommended for walking.
@@droidapkhub2857 sorry to hear that. I work on my feet all day and walking around all day and have worn them multiple times and had no issues maybe they weren't suitable for yourself but I have had your experience with other shoes also.
@@timothytrewin I’m telling the truth and youtube is sending me disclaimer you are doing violation by doing these comments ohh god now you cant even speak the truth.
@@droidapkhub2857 I believe you had a bad experience and don't doubt it at all. I've had plenty of problems with certain shoes causing me discomfort and nothing wrong with you sharing your experience with us all so others can keep that in mind too 👍
@@fatsteve-xthegod6711 personally I wear the Alphafly 3. But honestly I haven't tried many other options from other brands. But if speed isn't a big concern for you than looking into max cushion shoes like the Nike invincible 3 to protect the legs over the distance isn't a bad option. I am trying out the original adidas prime x and it feels bouncy fast and great cushion but with the stack height being so high making it very unstable for cornering. So I don't think I'd recommend for the marathon even though it's not deemed legal by world athletics for professional runners, I don't think it would be overly worth it anyway. If I can think of any other recommendations I'll pop back on here 👊
Thank you for the review... What would u think is netter for daily usage .. im more into comfort and coushoned sole... Im stuck in between these and pegasus 40s.
@@kakanisathwik8892 thank you for checking it out. I think they are similar but the upper on the winflo isn't as breathable as the peg40 but in re to comfort id give a slight edge to winflo. If you're wanting all out comfort and to stay in the Nike line, id honestly look at the invincible 3 or vomero if they're available in your area. A bit more expensive but I think it'll be worth it.
@@timothytrewin how about new balance rebel v 4 they are discounted now .. I can buy em for around 7.8k inr ...Pegasus 41 are at 11k inr and invincible run 3 is at 14 to 16 k inr.. ( I know u r not familiar wid this currency .. but the price gap is really bit high ) soo Pegasus 40 are around 8.2 k , 39 at 7 k and rebel v 4 at 7.8 k.. what would be the better option among these 3
@@kakanisathwik8892 from what I hear about the rebel v4 that sounds like a great option at that price. I haven't had the chance to run in them but I do love what new balance are doing and I think you would get a lot out of them. Sorry I can't help too much but I think I would go for the new balance over the others.
@@timothytrewin I really really appreciate yo help fam.... Great vid ... U just got yo self a new subscriber ... Love the honesty and help fam God bless ❤️
Bro appreciate the kind words so much 🙏 what are you running/racing in atm Alphafly 3 is great for longer races. I still feel faster in the Vaporfly but the alpha protects the legs from fatigue a bit more. I use an insta360 one x2 it's great we originally bought it for snowboarding trips but decided to use for running. editing can be a little time consuming but worth it imo. Hope that helps any questions just ask 👊 keep up the good work man
@@timothytrewin awesome, man, thanks for the info.....I'll def look at a pair of Alphas for my next big race, it's the leg fatigue that kills me so they sound perfect. 😂😂 Are you using a gimble for your vids, too? They are super smooth, man.....I'm just using my phone at the mo, but I wanna upgrade over the next year or so,. Also, can it be used as a web cam if I were gonna do some interviews over Zoom for example?
@@iainjackfitness yeah bro I can guarantee your legs will feel fresh for longer in alphaflys. I just use the 360cam on a selfie stick the stabilization is great though. I did also look at those gimbal you can attach your phone to or ones with a camera but we bought the 360 cam to snowboard with so it worked out I had this to use. Not sure about webcam kind of stuff but it might be possible 🤔 but yeah phone footage is decent these days anyway.
@@zarifatif3463 sorry for the late reply, id say they are similar to the pegasus 37/38. It depends what you are really wanting to use the shoes for. I think shorter easy day runs and the odd strides/shorter reps it can handle pretty well but for longer runs the comfort isn't really there and for longer speed reps the energy return isn't there. But some people may like that. I think it's an okay option at a lower price
Awww you love running in the rain! Wish I'd felt like that on the day! 😂 So lovely that you had support on route and nice to see your pre race journey 🤗 Congratulations on your run 🎉
I did it in 2022. As you know it started to get warm when going along the coast. I got to 18 miles and I hit the wall, so it was a run walk. Back then I was 60 years old. I’m aiming for the Loch Ness marathon next year. And it’s cooler time of year. Well done to you with your time.👍🏻🏃♂️
@@raymondelliot4605 amazing work in 2022! Have you run many events since? I also might consider Loch Ness Marathon next year but atm haven't confirmed. Thank you 🙏 marathons are a grind but the buzz after is great 😊 Gluck with your training for Loch Ness and hope you can come along for the ride on the channel 😊
@@timothytrewinI’ve the Alloa half marathon and the Glasgow half marathon since doing the Edinburgh marathon. I’ve also done cycling events, the Etape Loch Ness and Etape Caledonia. Back in June I did the RTTS (Ride To The Sun). You start in Carlisle and cycle overnight to Cramond on the other side of Edinburgh, 100 miles, I really enjoyed that. One minute riding along with other people and next you’re on your own in the pitch dark in the countryside. Good luck with your future events Timothy. Looking forward to your videos. 👍🏻🏃♂️🚵♂️
@@raymondelliot4605 man those cycling events sound insane 🤯 😮💨 id like to run the Alloa half, heard it's a tough route actually. I've not run any events in Glasgow but they're on the list 😂 thanks, I've got the Scottish half on the 18th booked but training has been so disrupted that it might just be a chill one 😊🙏
@@timothytrewinThe Alloa half is not to bad, until you get to the 11 mile mark and then it’s all uphill. You won’t find it a problem. All the best 👍🏻🏃♂️
Depending on how good of a price it is. I think it is a decent entry level shoe that you can get started running in. But I would say if you are looking to run for longer than maybe 45mins or so you may want to look for something with a bit more cushion. Good luck on your running journey 💪
@timothytrewin Thank you sm i really appreciate it. The price is really affordable and fits my budget. But if the cushion is not that great, I will look somewhere else.
Would love to see you talk more. Could you consider doing a voice over for some parts telling us a bit more about your journey/goals/the route or anything you thinks worth adding? Love the videos mate
@@stevendavidhair hey man thank you so much for watching. Yeah I do think about doing voice overs and stuff then I wonder if people want to even hear me talk or just watch 😂 but this is definitely something I can try to do in future videos ☺️ appreciate the support and we're almost at 100subs 🤯
I agree! I love race/workout breakdowns are layered over the race/workout footage. Adds a cool aspect of getting into the runner's head. It can be very validating to hear that folks much faster than us are going through it just like we are hahah
@@atburden14 oh bro don't worry we all go through the pain and contemplating all life decisions 😂 although I don't think I'm much faster than you at all man haha. I'll keep this in mind in future 😊
Solid effort mate! I’ve lost all my speed, trying to rebuild it now. What’d you think of the Alphaflys for that speed? I’ve been thinking of getting something new for up to 21km, keeping the Alphas for marathons.
@@ryanpedlow thanks so much bro I lost so much speed too 😢 not that I ever have much 😂 alphas are still awesome at 5k pace man! They were great. What other shoe you been thinking of for half and under?
Thanks for watching. nice work! I don't do time trials often but I'll keep this in mind for my next faster one. My Strava says my 2mi PB is 11:32 which was during my 5k PB which in pretty happy with 😅
Man that is very fast! I hope to get there sometime in the near future. Right now my PB is a 21:13 although it has been a while and my Garmin watch predicts a 19:40. But man you are doing great and making some quality videos! Keep it up!
Thanks so much I appreciate the kind words 😊 that's great running! Fun fact my Garmin predicted 18:40 before this time trial so you might be able to run 19:42 🥳 do you have any events coming up? Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and comment 🙏
I did a first run video in them if you want to check out my thoughts 😊 I quite enjoy them now as a pretty basic daily trainer. But I get that a lot of other brands have probably better shoes at a similar price range, I just haven't tried them yet. Thanks for watching 🙏
I can only import size 8.5 UK via Nike International but it costs a lot. I got the size 8 and 9 at around 25% discount which made it somewhat affordable for me.
Oh no! That is so annoying. I generally go up at least half a size in running shoes compared to casual to make room for the foot to swell from running. I have a thumbs width between the end of the shoe and the end of my big toe. Hope this helps you save money and avoid the extra cost of import 😫 I appreciate you checking out the video and your comments 😊
Great video .. ( Audio is a tad quiet ) i see the Winflo 10s here in NZ are $100 now and the 11's are 80 bucks more. May have to get both .. always good to have few pairs of shoes in the rotation ( not super shoes )
Thank you for watching. Yeah sorry, my plan is to get a mic if I get more subs and stuff because I can't really afford it right now and I've just started making videos 😂 That's great man! I liked the winflos 9s and I'm sure the 10 just had an upper change from the 9. Bit lower stack height than the 11s but I felt the zoom air so much more in those. Still breaking them in though. Appreciate you checking out the video ☺️
I’m glad I came across this vid. I was just looking for some reviews regarding this shoe and I stumbled upon yours. This style of review vid that is kind of mixed with vlogging is quite refreshing as it’s a bit unique compared to how usually these kinds of contents are done, it just seems “natural” and the beautiful scenery in the background is definitely a plus! Aside from just getting more info about this product, I truly enjoyed this content and I hope that you bring out some more (not necessarily just shoe reviews lol). You just earned a sub, and I wish you get a lot more soon if you keep this up!
Thank you so much 🙏 I really appreciate the kind words as I'm just starting out and I know content can always be improved but it means a lot that you took the time to let me know you like the video. Thanks for subbing and I look forward to chatting in the comments of future vids ☺️
Thanks man appreciate it 🙏 yeah it was just there the breeze wasn't it.. didn't really feel that strong but it was enough of a resistance to destroy you all the way out 😅 great running!! Good work! Any other events coming up for you?
@@Guybrush99 I'm looking at the Scottish half again last year I gassed it there for like 1:35 because of the wind on the coast again 😂 but next marathon maybe chester 👀. Man you'll give sub90 a good go for sure! Have you ran sub90 before?
@@timothytrewin no, 1:30:10 is my pb for a half 😂. I was 1:36 at half way through marathon so shouldn’t be too far away. I thought about Scottish half, but though it was too soon after Marathon, wanted a good bit of recovery before a decent training block. Heard Chester is a good one.
@@Guybrush99 oh man that's so close 😫 you'll definitely be able to take some minutes off that ☺️ id like to try break 1:25 at some point haha. Yeah having some good rest from the marathon and a good training block for Glasgow you'll be ready 💪 yeah chester looks decent but still not sure on what distance I want to attack for the later half of the year.
Onwards and upwards my guy, we move onto the next one 🙌 I've got Loch Ness Marathon already booked if you're game 👀 I've set my Runna plan to train me for a 2:50-2:52, so I'm hoping I'll be more than fit enough for the sub 3
Yeah man onto the next 💪 Oh man that's awesome, I was looking at doing Loch ness but i think I'm going to go with something down south 👀 should be a bit cheaper than loch Ness for accom haha. Nice bro hope you smash that sub3. I think I'm going to try go for 3:10 and take my time going for sub3 again but plans can change haha I'll see how training goes
I did the marathon with my partner in 2022 but I didn't run then nor did I train for it 😅 so other than this one I have done a solo time trial marathon in a similar time. So my first official marathon I've tried to do at a race effort.
