I know this is an old video but a video on the G in the Debussy Rapsodie would be incredibly helpful for people. You showed me in college a very easy method that had it pop easily when slurring up to it. I have long since forgotten what it was.
I have been watching your videos since High School Man! (2013). When I saw you at the TMEA booth with Music and Arts I thought “where do I know this guy from. I have seen him some where 🤔 “. Then it clicked during our Regional Call a few weeks back that you’ve been the guy I’ve been watching for years!! Small world!
I also use a fingering like D5, but with the RH F key open. In other terms 1-2-3 | 5-6 plus the 8va key. But what I was looking for was a way to gliss from G4 to G6 (Aeolian song, measure 33-34). Any ideas?
Very good, as always!! I use to see your vídeos just befores study the lesson. One ask, if possible: can you do your vídeos, but in a position that we can see your hands on sax? It could be helpfull, specially when I need to decide what position to use in some note... Tks for your work!!
Thank you Dr. J Resendez,, after many months of diligent practice. and watching your RU-vid videos, now I'm able to get Altissimo G, G#, and A on my Paul Mauriat 300 UL Baritone Saxophone. Greetings from Montreal Canada. Just goes to prove that your teaching also reaches far away people. Thank you again, Sir.
I've listened to a number of your postings as I work my way through the various Studies you've recorded. As I'm sure you know the sound is deep and quite wonderful. From the standpoint of a person who played in high school and has been retired 10 years and has taken up the saxophone again, your pieces serve as great lessons.
