Hopefully you can help me also I'm dialysis now 2 times a week . I'm in dialysis 1 month . Please I want a transplant, I'm 29 years old I have 1 daughter
Back in 2019, I was at the hospital waiting for my partner’s colonoscopy to finish. A woman came to waiting room and led us through a stretching routine. It was so welcome and lovely. Does GUH still offer that for people waiting in the hospital?
I haven't been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer but i will have the whipple procedure because the stone i have in the pancreas is basicallt embedded in the tissue of the pancreas now as it has been left untreated for too long. I don't get scared easily but now i am a bit freightened of the whole procedure but i have been waiting for this for two and a half hears so this will be the end of it all
Yessir, He did my kidney transplant in 2013, he is the best at what he does. He gave me wonderful after transplant care, I thank him for allowing me to have many more years with my family. Thank you, Dr Potter.
How has your back held up with having to wear your duty belt and/or tac vest? I’m 6 weeks post op from a three-level disc replacement at the L3-S1 levels.
First off fantastic name! Everything is great. I wear a vest and tac belt most days with little issue. Sometimes my back will hurt a bit at the end of the day but I think that's mostly due to having to get out of a car when I am used to my regular POV being an SUV.
Haha thanks! Awesome to see you had success with your artificial disc, I’m happy for you bro 👊🏼 It’s very uplifting for me to see that because I’ll sometimes get in my head wondering if this surgery will actually work. I’m a cop here in California and want nothing more than to return to full duty. You should make an updated video sometime! Idk if you’ve ever looked, but there really aren’t that many testimonial videos, let alone one from someone who went back to being very physically active.
@@FatNinjaTurtle Absolutely man. I’d be happy to make a video for update purposes. I am not sure how that would work or if I would need to get permission from Med Star though. With that said, I had the surgery in 2016 and I currently work out 7x per week and train weights 4 days and HIIT 3x per week. This surgery changed my life and if you can get it done with Dr. Sandhu it will change yours. He’s legit. Be safe out there brother.
She is not a hero, and should not be put on a pedestal. I know because I am also a non-directed anonymous kidney donor and I am no hero. You don't need to be a hero to actually care. You just need to be a human being.
I am a current Medstar Parkinson's patient with Dr. Yaghi in Mclean, VA He has referred me to Dr. Chris Kalhorn for DBS surgery and I have requested an appointment with him via the Patient Portal. I wonder how long the wait list is?
Never ever, ever do chemo without doing research on it, it harms so many people. More people live when they don’t do chemo and standard therapy, it is a killer, this doctor is completely brainwashed to the bone saying do this or that with chemo. I would do this or that without the.chemo it’s just such nonsense what she’s saying. Take alternative treatments alongside therapy that will kill your immune system and every red and white blood cell in your body, yep that’s how you heal. Do you not see the stupidity in this lie? Don’t combine something good like apricot seeds with something deadly, it doesn’t work and never will. Anyone who is sick does not need a broken immune system which is what chemo does, it literally destroys your immune system, it kills bone marrow and you! You are never, ever the same after chemo, it is debilitating for your body and she knows it and is trying to convince you and the host w hat she’s saying is true but it’s complete nonsense. You don’t go and drink antifreeze and say ok, now that you’ve. Had the antifreeze now do something good for yourself ( alternative treatment like apricot kernels or chaparral and you’ll do fine. Think how much better off you would be if you just did the good thing without the antifreeze. A 2+year old could tell you she out and out lying. It’s rubbish
Wow! Honestly. Thank you so much. I’ve been antsy and anxious so I just plugged in “ stretches “ and to my absolute delight you popped up. This wee routine gave me such a lift, a boost of energy. Mentally, as well as physically. ❤
Dear Robin would have been an amazing spoke person for Parkinson patients. With the new drugs, etc, it may not have been that bad for him, Robin was an amazing humanitarian, visiting our troupes many times. Gosh bless his heart. RIP.

My sister has Wilson's disease. She was okay until June 2021 when she developed edema. Later it was found that her liver is not healthy anymore. She was under medication and later doctors advised to undergo transplant. Luckily we found a deceased donor just 2 hours after registering for organ search. She unwent liver transplant in May 2024. As it was done in a Govt. Hospital in Kolkata, India, we didn't have to spend a penny for surgery. Thanks to the donor and his elder brother (who decided to donate his deceased brother's organ). She is now in isolation and recovering well.
I had PAE done two years ago in England _(NHS)._ It totally failed to have *any* effect but I'm sure that if I had paid for it privately I wouldn't have got my money back!!!
I would like to know how long is the wait for a pancreas transplant after getting a kidney to from a live donor. Thank you so much for this information, im donating a kidney to my husband in one month and a half, God bless you
In the comment section, we all have same story I suppose. Got wrist fracture 7 weeks ago. Got a plate and screws. And still can't get over with what happened to me. I can move my fingers almost fully but wrist is still half locked. I know it will pass but it is still hard emotionally.
I had this done in early 2017 with excellent results. However, the effects now in 2024 are beginning to wane. Next year I'll consider retreatment. I'm wondering if treatment is as effective second time around.
Glad i found this story and thanks for being an inspiration for every fitness enthusiast who desperately wants to get back to yoga and exercise after wrist fracture. My wrist got fractured in a road accident 2 months ago. It was a colles fracture in the radius bone of the left wrist. I am currently undergoing physiotherapy and I can't even lift a 5 kg dumbbell now. I used to do 50-60 pushups in a row and 108 sun salutations every day before my accident and i cannot even think about doing a single push up now. Is it going to be like this forever? How can i restore its strength as it was before. I used to do dumbbell curls using 15 kg dumbbells. Any suggestion or solution for restoring the strength of the left hand back?
Hi Dr Dougherty :) I read on article you & Dr Patel wrote on Thunderclap Headaches. I just experienced a Thunderclap Headache. What a scary experience. Has anyone been able to connect these types of headaches to TMJ?
Hello hope yall see this. A nurse told me that we needed to keep the air bubble in the heprin for some reason?? Do yall know why she might have told us this ?
I think they may have been referencing a technique for getting rid of the entire air bubble by leaving the air in the syringe before drawing back and then pushing it completely out ahead of hooking it up to the line, because you are right we are taught to never introduce air into their line!
My son 39 had the procedure done 3.24. The operation when will. Ony spent 4 days in ICU not enough. Put him lower care floor only to go into cardiac arest fir 6 min. Now battling kidney and liver damage. DON'T leave your love one by them selfs in the hospital they will KILL them.
It can work for well-localised solid tumours, but it cannot work with metastases spread to various parts of the body, which is the great limitation of this therapy; moreover, it is not possible to irradiate tumours located in certain parts of the pancreas, since the latter is not an organ but a very delicate gland.....
