Excellent review! I love your passion. If you haven't smelled Lattafa's Raw Human, try to get your nose on it. It's one of the best leather fragrances I've smelled. It's a smooth leather with plum.
@@NurseDavid70 I will absolutely check out Raw Human. I currently have 14 Lataffa s in my collection, that one would make an even 15. Leather and Plum? I am 100% on board with that. Always looking for a different take on a leather frag and Plum is a note I really like. Thanks for the suggestion, and for watching my content😁
Amuage Interlude for me, man... I lay down to rest with my perfumed hand, my hand was under my nose... such a scent journey, I was amazed how the scent changed, it grew, how I smelled the scent after an hour, two, three... I was enchanted, really... I experienced something like this for the first time, even though I have been interested in perfumes for over 20 years... Amuage Interlude is an amazing perfume. Of course, I don't expect that Afnan will be 1:1, but if there is at least 70-80% similarity, I will be happy :) good video man, greetings from Lithuania guys!!! :)
@@NurseDavid70 I own and love Al Fursan and Rave Now, so definitely hyped about another pineapple frag from Lataffa especially one with a gourmand facet to it.
@@NurseDavid70 btw, in the review I meant to say I've heard it's similar to Nishane Hacivat, but I said Ani. That's what I get sometimes for not editing and just shooting these reviews from the hip 🤣
@@jumpropemonk7703 no, I don't think it's fake, this also happened with Lataffa Eternal Oud. I got it when it first came out and the atomizer was pressurized and it had the dome presentation, but if you buy it today, the atomizer is good but not pressurized and it doesn't have the dome anymore. I think the first run of Spectre Ghost just had a different atomizer than if you buy it today. But still a great fragrance I'm sure, they did do a great job cloning Ani
I saw your review of Eternal Oud on Fragrancex and then found your channel. I didn't know the tree was a Bristlecone Pine. Thanks for the knowledge. My fragrance didn't come with a dome. I think they discontinued that part of the presentation.
@@TheRealDLGreene right around 6 with decent projection, then another 2 hours as a skin scent. Very satisfied with the performance for as good as the scent profile is.
Great take. Yeah those Armaf bottles still some of the strangest out there. Last one I remember trying from them was probably CDN Sillage and it definitely was a good take on SMW. People rave about Milestone, but it's terribly cheap and weak off of my skin. Now that the cooler weather is arriving, I'm still a huge fan of layering with CDNIW. That chocolatey rose is a vibe. Can't believe it's been over a decade since it was released.
Appreciate the ranking! I've been eyeing that al Shabaab for a heck of a long time, honestly mainly for the presentation. Big fan of cylindrical bottles and the army green is kinda my thing too. 😄 Yet to try any of the more modern hype trains like Vintage Radio, but I was there when the brand was just getting their footing with their Maknoon Aventus clone, Raghba and the Oud Mood series. I even managed to scoop up Nakahat al Oud which was one of their earliest rosey goodies. But so many sub brands these days that it's getting hard to keep track. Once one looses traction, another one pops up with minor changes to existing fragrances and higher prices...😵💫 Seems like the Zara model is quickly becoming the new gold standard.
@@justaddlight thank you so much for your feedback! The description I always give for Al Shabaab is"cowboy leather"- imagine a shop that makes handmade leather items. It could use a little more spunk imo, but there's a time and place for a more subtle scent as well. And the presentation on those 3 Qaaeds is pretty dope.
It appears to be a fake. The logo script on the package isn't right. Also, the script on the top of the bottle in the authentic is more like a bold font.
@@dex-pix maybe that would explain why the quality of the fragrance wasn't exactly what I expected. I picked up the bottle as part of a bulk swap and I honestly never considered the authenticity. I don't have it anymore, or I would examine it a little closer. Interesting point, sir ty for the feedback, and thank you for watching
@@dex-pix the strangest part, now that I think of it, is that I did get fairly good performance on the test wear, and the frag did smell very pleasant. Just not my personal cup of tea. I am uneducated on the subject- question for you- would it still smell decent even if it is a fake?
@@AkaPuniSher I picked mine up about a year ago, so I can't say for sure. I will tell you, the performance on it was good from day 1- no maceration needed
I feel like Rave is a better layering frag, and Al Fursan stands on its own a little better. Al Fursan has a little more depth, and more going on than the Rave. If faced with a choice I would say the Al Fursan is better.
It really surprised me. My friend sells decants, and he is stepping away from it so he's selling a lot of his partials, and I picked this one up out of pure curiosity. So glad I did the quality/price ratio on this one is excellent
I just received my Afnan Supremacy Incense today. When I first srayed it, I was a little skeptical, but once it dries, it smells fantastic. It smells like Frankincense, leather and amber. Also has a lemon scent I give this 5 stars.
Awesome thanks for watching! It's definitely a love it or hate it deal with this one, it can be challenging I think. That being said, yeah it's one of my favorites for cool weather for sure.
Thank you for watching the video, I appreciate it. Been searching for a good DHI clone for a while, and I believe that search is over. Besides the crappy atomizer, this one is excellent
Hlw sir in your opinion which one is best in terms of prominent iris note and longevity among these two perfumes Lattafa qaaed intense and kayaan classic??
I had a decant of this, I absolutely LOOOVED IT! It's seriously so good in hot weather. Cuts rights through any stuffiness/humidity. And never feels like it's too much. Even though its a guy's fragrance, I would absolutely own a full bottle. It's just so nice.
Been curious this, since I'm a big DHI fan. Didn't see any update review, so just curious on projection and performance. Thanka for your time. Be safe all 🙏
@@YouLookinAtMe-Bro This one ended up being a bit of a disappointment as I gave it a few wears and I ultimately swapped it out of the collection. But I did recently find a superior DHI clone I can suggest to you. I will send you a link for the review
Mancera Purple Flowers is a floral scent that leans slightly feminine in a way, but has just the right balance of masculinity to be zen. Worth a try, if you are brave enough to wear a frag like that. Ive worn it a couple times and loved it.
@@ANTONIO-MANIAS Absolutely. It wears very mature on me,( I'm 51), and although it is a unisex fragrance, it has enough of a masculine vibe imo to be appropriate for a mature gentleman. Maybe dial back the sprays for a more professional setting. That being said, it still manages to be modern/playful enough for a younger demo as well
Sounds good, and saw several others say the same. I should be getting mine any day now. If it's as good or better than my Pendora Scents Camaro Homme Intense, I'll be so happy! I'd say it's about 85-90% close to DHI. I get about 2 hours of arms length projection with 5 or 6 hours performance...pretty happy with that. Looking forward to seeing how it performs for you.
I fell in love with this perfume from the first second. The opening is more feminine, but the drydown is more masculine. A fragrance from heaven! It's just that some batch have poor performance
Yeah i agree with everything you said 💯. I have heard that the older screw-top bottles perform better, but I am more than satisfied with the performance of my batch.
Since it has a fine mist What spray distance do you use when applying Celestial? Applying at 5” from skin I experienced 1.5 hrs of moderate protection. Feedback appreciated
@@RobertLaTuso yes, the atomizer does seem to be an issue on the Emir line. I actually over spray a little with Celestial, and Super Crush. They are good frags, but bc of the atomizer, I apply a few more sprays closer to the skin. Same with Lataffa Khamrah. For what we pay for these, it's ok you have to over spray a bit
@@keldrw4998 Applying closer to skin (4” inches) hampered projection/sillage dramatically while remaining a strong skin scent. Previous application (5”) lasted five hours with 1 hour of strong projection, before becoming a weak skin scent
I have this in my cart as we speak. This review may have sealed the deal for me. 2 Questions. Does this scent DNA occupy the same space as your Eternal Oud? And...how do you like that Phillip Plein No Limits?
@@Cornelle6319 although they are both warm, alluring fragrance profiles, Ghost and Eternal Oud differ significantly imo. Both are 10/10 fragrances, for sure. The Eternal Oud has a plum note that I really dig. I can't say enough good things about both of these frags, fr. As far as the Philipp Plein is concerned, I could see it being challenging for some. It's one that I really appreciate the artistry that went into it. But if you are adventurous and like animalic leather with a creamy chocolaty undertone you would love this stuff. Unfortunately, some people pick up a band-aid type smell from this one, and I am one of them. It's not up front, and it doesn't make it unwearable for me, just kinda lingers on the edges of the rich leather notes. All in all, I think it's a solid frag, and worth the pickup for the$. Also, check out the ads for the No Limits. The marketing ads for this think are bananas. Thank you very much for watching my content, and I hope I was helpful.
@@keldrw4998 I have the Phillip Plein. And it’s actually in my top 5 leather jacket scents for cooler weather 1: Carlisle 2: Ferragamo Uomo Sig 3: Oajan 4: No Limits 5: Oud 4 Glory/Greatness Black Bottle Approved
Hey, thanks for watching. I wouldn't necessarily equate this one close to Eternal Oud, although they are both great 10/10 frags imo. Both great cool weather warm cozy frags, but different scent DNA for sure. The No Limits is also a great leather fragrance, but to my nose I get a slight band-aid vibe riding the edges of the notes. Not a deal breaker by any means, but something to consider.
Do you get a hint of a band-aid vibe with the No Limits? I do, and although not a reason to not enjoy it, just wondering if it's just me. Also, John Varvatos Dark Rebel is a great leather coat frag imo if you don't mind a slightly reduced performance( as is the case with all JV frags imo)
Thank you for watching! Yeah this one has quickly found a place in my favorites, and I will say if you like this one, John Varvatos/Nick Jonas silver is a similar scent profile just not as good but solid.
I hear ya, man. I got a decant and loved it at first sniff. Immediately brought a 4 oz because I don't want to be without it when my decant runs out. I agree as to the gourmand-adjacent nature. It doesn't smell like something you'd eat, but it smells delicious at the same time. Nice vanilla in here. IC has more solidity and dimensionality than BR540. Also, It's STRONG, but I'm going to rock it all summer. Small doses. Another interesting note on this one: men tend to think this fragrance leans feminine, but women tend to think it leans masculine.
Sapil Intense Noire is a good Aventus clone. What makes this a little different than other clones and Aventus itself is the amped up patchouli. The patchouli is very noticeable, especially in the drydown.
