That reminds me of the 84 my dad used to have (same black color and everything, but his had the TH400, and not the SM465) years ago before he eventually traded it for his red 92 K3500. Great truck but was a massive gas hog with a gas gauge that never worked, I remember when I was 3 and got an anxiety attack when it ran out of gas in the middle of a field.
I need part numbers or specs on the welds!!! I live in Alaska and need to get my wheels/tires correct the first time and that is absolutely perfect! 20 front 17 rear but what’s the width and backspacing, any info would be greatly appreciated
Beautiful truck, nice restoration work my man, real nice. I also have a love for the 1988-1995 obs 5.7 liter standard cab short bed trucks. Definitely worth restoring, I only wish I can say the same the 2nd generation s10 models, very poor design and junk engine, these 1988-1995 models are the real obs trucks.
So, my dad had an 83 that was this paint scheme exactly, two tone, beige on the bottom and top of cab, but the brown everywhere else. I've only seen very, very few with this scheme. Most have the brown down the middle with beige hood and bed top. Was it just a 1983 thing?
