Hello Doctor, I am 31 yrs old. I am using drops 3x a day. My pressure was 40 in both eyes at the time of diagnosis 1.5 yrs back. Now, the pressure is maintained under 20. Do you recommend SLT that can last at max 15 years with repeated procedures?
@dr.fatimaqureshi9803
@dr.fatimaqureshi9803 23 дня назад
@@das1992 hi . Thanks for watching the channel . So glaucoma treatment involves several factors . If SLT is maintaining your IOPs in the normal range and OCT / VF are also stable , then no need to worry in my opinion.
@das1992
@das1992 22 дня назад
@@dr.fatimaqureshi9803 I want to make sure I understand correctly. Are you saying that there is no need to worry about having to undergo the SLT procedure three times? I'm not trying to question your advice, I just want to make sure I understand for my own peace of mind. Nowadays, it seems like doctors don't always take the time to talk to patients and are always in a rush to see the next patient.

If you’ve never had SLT and your IOPS are under control with the help of glaucoma drops , then it’s all good . If you hate using drops , then yes you can go for SLT . If you don’t like using drops r times a day , your doctor can always change to another class like once a day , but be careful and make sure iops are steady and within normal limit . Also continue he seeing your eye doc every 3-6 months and get all glaucoma tests to make sure nerve fibre layer if not thinning out . I hope that answers your question .
@das1992
@das1992 22 дня назад
@dr.fatimaqureshi9803 Have you seen one SLT pressure lowering effect lasting a long time like over 30-40 years? I was told that SLTs can last upto 5 years after which its IOP lowering effect starts to wearout requiring repeated procedure.. Asking as I may have nmbeen given the inaccurate info.

Hi , yes prisms can work for strabismus . If you have diplopia or double vision ,then it’s worth getting you tested for prisms

@@dr.fatimaqureshi9803 i don't have any double vision problem. I just have exotropia in my left eye and the vision is also low in my left eye. So do you agree that wearing prism glasses can make my eyes look straight and also please let me know that can this be the permanent solution for lifetime? And who can make prism glasses like can a normal glasses shop make prism glasses?
