Johnny Romano I have a Garmin VIRB camera and it comes with VIRB Edit software which allows you to make overlays with metrics you captured. The Camera has embedded GPS and can connect to my ANT+ sensors
Thats awesome, thanks. You're a beast. Do you do the TRI as well? Did my first last year. Was there a reason the heart rate cut out? I assume it had technical difficulties ?
I don’t do triathlons. About the heart rate - for whatever reason it does cut out sometimes. It was Garmin’s first camera. I guess there are some bugs. They don’t sell it anymore. They have a newer model now
Hey what type of bike you riding there? And how much to do you weigh? I average 16-17 mph there but have a commuter bike that weighs 25 lbs. And I'm 184.
acejackhammer Simple road bike, aluminum frame, nothing special. A bit lighter than yours I guess and I'm about 30 pounds lighter myself. 16-17 mph on commuter bike carrying 184 over 7 mile loop is very very good!
The camera I have, Garmin VIRB, connects to ANT+ sensors, including a heart monitor. Then software that comes with it has all the gauges you can place on the screen. I guess if you have a separate file from your bike computer you can use it instead
Thank you for the speedy response! I'm looking at purchasing a camera and a biking friend said I can pair this one with my garmin 810 or 1000. Want to capture some of our club runs/ training sessions / chain gangs. Your videos look great
Graininess seems to be a result of RU-vid processing. Original video is way more sharp. I can't figure out yet how I can make youtube to store better quality. Also, when it's darker it gets significantly more grainy. Similar to what phone cameras do compare to their big SLR brothers
eBay? They're built pretty solid. It should be Ok to buy used. The only thing to watch for is a battery. It may be dead if not maintained according to manual.
I don't have a remote but it's useful, I've seen other people using it. You don't need to turn the machine on and run, also you can adjust it from the other side of the court. It runs on battery. Some people say it'll work from outlet but I think you can damage battery this way and as far as I remember it's not recommended.
I came to the same conclusion when I was looking to buy mine (although eventually it was a gift from my wife). Make sure you buy the one that can spin the ball otherwise it can get to easy, also shots feel more natural with some spin on it. All other features including oscillator are a bit overrated.
