On this channel I will show you cars we have for sale at the garage where i have worked since 2007 and also explain how to use many of the features that are on the cars we sell. We are a family run business in operation for over 70 years.
Where are the front fog lights located in the 2020 model? Do they share the same place as the daytime running lights? Whether it’s daytime running lights or fog lights, is there any way to turn them off? Thanks!
@@doolanbrian For a moment I thought they were fog lights, but now I realize they are daytime running lights. Is there a way to turn off those daytime running lights? Thanks
@@pintokitkat technically you’re covering the same distance and the same rise and fall , but as I said, it’s not completely free off confounding factors that can affect it👍
@@doolanbrian well, not really. If you work at the coast and live up a mountain, it's all uphill going home and all downhill going to work. It only balances out if home and work are at the same elevation.
This is madness! Thanks for the video and confirming that I'm not doing anything wrong. Please note you can adjust the volume settings in the menu and this seems to save when you turn the car off. Not good for Hyundai though!
@@dowhatyouloveandlovewhatyo7024 every vehicle produced in Europe going forward, will have this feature, I want to roadtest 1 to see does the volume save over night, I’ll let you know soon
@@barrydoherty636 when you say you don’t recognise the wheel nuts do you mean the nut size or are they covered by a centre cap ? I’m just trying to understand your specific request.👍
@@doolanbrian they are aluminium wheels, but the wheel nuts are round shape, not the normal hex type The locking nuts are the normal ones, which I have a key
@@fatimahadel4106 hey there , we don’t get creta here so I can’t be sure , if you only have a trip button then I don’t think you have the digital speedometer👍
sir doolan do you hava a video in case of emergency the hyundai tucson stop in the middle of the middle of road since the tucson is automatic what should to do how move my car in the sidewalk.
Very good point, and in this case I don’t have the answer, all you could do in this case would be to put on your hazard lights and call for emergency breakdown, assist as quickly as possible. You can push the car by switching it onto ignition on mode and then put the vehicle into N for neutral.!
I think that Kona looks great! I like it because it is so different from other cars! Especially in black. One thing i dont like is red accents on dash. This looks cheap. There is no need for this.
hi Brian , i love your vids, very helpful , however, i have an issue, you might be able to help, my 241 ioniq 6 bought new in Dublin , doesn't give me the option to turn the speed limit assist off, any ideas , thanks Dave.
Hi Dave, thanks for watching, so just to clarify, it won’t let you turn it off permanently or it won’t let you turn it off in anyway whatsoever in other words temporarily?
@@doolanbrian ok thanks for the fast reply. I should of mentioned I was referring too valet mode in the ionic 5 but I guess they all have the same feature, shame restricted speed wasn’t an option, thanks anyway
@@Rusties844 okay, I understand, I still think you have the same issue as the valet mode is just to stop access to the screen rather than driving controls👍🙂
Hi Brian, will the timing belt notification service be shown on the screen of the car like other services, or is it sth that the owner should do it himself according to honda recommendation?
I’m not aware of notification for timing belt, most of our customers have done it early, but I’m pretty sure that there is no notification, so definitely something to Driver has to manage👍
Great comparison. One small question. In the previous facelift the reverse camera was under the badge. Now is placed on the bumper. Does that make the camera more “breakage sensitive”if someone hits your bumper (even in minor touches like in parking)?
Long run, the diesel is marginally better on Kona but in general long run on most models, the diesel is usually the most efficient at motorway speed, in my opinion, however,l hybrid seems to be more fuel-efficient for short stop start driving as the engine shuts down just like the diesel but it can also do some battery operated driving🙂
Is it possible to change the drive mode once and keep it there when the car starts again for my next trip? Currently mine always resets to Eco when I prefer Normal.
@@luukg2 The reason i ask is that there is a 10.25" screen on new ones so it may have the option but im not aware of a way to do it at the moment ! Sorry !
I'm here and my question is if you know you're going to do a long drive in a PHEV without potentially a chance to charge on the way... do you stick it in hybrid mode from the off for the best fuel economy? My parents live about 200 miles away and we stop at a service station that may not have electric charge available OR it's very expensive... so what's the most economical way to drive that 200 miles?
Thank you for watching I would use the electric portion for the start of your journey and use petrol at the petrol station. I wouldn’t purchase electricity in the public domain as it’s pretty much the same price as petrol.!
What I find irritating with the speed limiter display is, you can be in a 30mph zone but when you pass side road that is 20mph sign my car warns me I’m exceeding the limit when I know I’m not, but I don’t want to switch off the feature as I do find it helpful.
Thanks! I spent the better part of a year having to pull the key out by hand thinking the spring was defective or something. Solved in 5 seconds squeezing that little pin down again with pliers. Hilarious part is I found this video sitting in the waiting room of my Kia dealer (warranty service) after they told me the key couldn't be fixed!!
What should i get with a budget of around 20k? Should i buy a civic 2018 1.6 dtec or 1.5 vtec? Also any other car recomandations other than honda? What about a toyota corolla sedan hybrid? What should i get? You can tell me anything, but what would you buy in this situation, any car brand.
I would go for the 1.5 Civic petrol. More power, decent fuel economy. The Toyota is also a good vehicle, best thing to do is probably test drive both ??
Thank you very much for this video 🙏🏼 I have a 2017 VW Tiguan Limited and no controls in my steering wheel. Would love to know how to turn that speed limit warning off, it was turned on by accident when new tires were installed yesterday 😭🤦🏼♀️ Please help if you can 🙌🏼
Okay, I don’t have one in stock to check however have a look at this video before where I found a menu on a different Volkswagen and yours might be the same ru-vid.comq85SLOE2VuM?si=tvbWi571zh7j05Hf
I would love Birds Eye camera to be on while driving at any speed. I’m partially blind and any help is appreciated. Yellow lights and chimes aren’t as good as cameras with Tesla the best. Honda formally was the champ till they dumped it all.
@@doolanbrian blind spots. Drive a civic with blind spot camera. You can turn in with a button and see everything down the passenger side. And it was on main high res screen not like Hyundai that puts on lower res screen in dash/speedo area. That said, screens are new for 2025 so maybe it gets btr.
@@formaiaguitar with the 360° camera you can now have views down both sides of the vehicle when you’re driving forward to using the big screen, not just the smaller screens! So I think you might like this!
Meanwhile other drivers are behind you getting very frustrated at best. Learn how to do it yourself. I’m on my third car with this function and have never used it.
Hi Brian, I had a 2020 1.0 was told by a Honda main dealer that the wet belt had to be done at 80k or 5 years and the cost was €2000. Can you provide a link to Honda’s official recommendation on this. I was shocked to hear it was due in 2025 on a car with less than 50k kms and would cost €2000. I won’t name the dealer but it was outside Dublin
