Most underrated Boxer of all time. I think in his prime he beats all the heavyweights. A lot of people talk about there top 5 lists and he barely gets a mention
Actually he is in the video but not for very long. At 2:05 and 2:34. He's wearing the grey-ish sweater with a striped shirt. This video is kinda blurry so it's hard to recognize him, but it's him.
Joe Calzaghe and Lennox Lewis were experts at picking opponents at the right time but no one complains about them. Calzaghe had a very unimpressive career, and the only big names on his resume came against men who were well past their prime. Bernard Hopkin, Nigel Benn, Steve Colin's, Chris Eubank, Roy Jones, Robin Reid.. Etc...Calzaghe went on to defend his belt against the likes of Omar Sheika, Mario Veit, Charles Brewer, Byron Mitchell, Kabary Salem, and Evans Ashira. None of these opponents ever came remotely close in their career to being a top-level fighter. Lewis will most likely go down as one of the most intelligent, calculated champions ever. Lennox was able to capitalize on Tyson's jail term to reign as champion, then got out before the Klitchko brothers could undo the legacy he has manufactured for himself. He stayed an extra 4 years as an amateur to win a gold metal against younger opponents (Riddick Bowe for the medal bout). He then became champion only because Bowe gave up the title. He backed out of Tyson's way (accepting a huge multi-million dollar payoff from Don King as payment for Tyson taking his ranking) as he was climbing back up to regain the championship that was handed to him. I believe that history will judge him for the fake that he truly is.
Are you for real lennox was paid 2m dollars in 91to step aside so Tyson could face Ruddock with a promise he would be next also is it lennox fault that Tyson got jailed??? n as for the klitchsko theory well he smashed up vitali when he was 38 n at that time lead looked to be a nobody getting Korean by Sam Peter etc as for lasagne 1st he never fought collins because Steve retired due to injury 2nd it's not his fault that the greats where 8-10yrs older than him he fought the best of his time n granted they where not the class of the men before I myself believe a young Eubanks before he hurt Watson would of stopped Joe or anyone for that matter simply bcos he could hit like a HW n was really a light heavy anyway but drained himself bcos the super middleweight division was the glamour division at the time no Joe n Lennox are legitimate champions n legends
What an absolute load of shit. Riddick Bowe threw his WBC belt in the bin cos he didn't want to face Lewis. Lewis chased Mike Tyson for YEARS. Lewis took Mike to court cos he refused to fight him and got a big pay out because of it. Tyson literally ducked Lewis his entire career until he was desperate for money. It's not Lennox's fault that these fools wouldn't fight him, so he fought the hard way up to get respect, beating the likes of Ray Mercer, Tony Tucker, Razor Ruddock, Tommy Morrison, Andrew Golota, Michael Grant(who believe it or not at one time was seen by the American public as "too much" for Lewis to handle) and many many more on his way up. Your comment is completely dishonest
I believe the guitar riff was from WAR called "Cisco Kid. I heard that M.C. Tee around the time this album was completed, had left the group for a career in the Air Force.
