Great video mate! Helped me do the same. Have you got the link to the new gear lever? I'm struggling to get one that will fit without hitting the engine casing.

I have never had C90 i had Yamaha T80 4 speed shaft drive scooterette. Surprisingly i did 50,000 miles on it mainly commuting as a shift worker plus i did a Few Long Distance trips 125 each way in the winter !! (Cold and slowish) had bigger bikes since then but now as 70 i have downsize to a Kawasaki J300 (300cc) scooter which is very pleasant to ride and goes well..
Totally irresponsible. You should not be riding on footpaths. You know it's wrong as you say in video you will be annoying farmers. You are a disgrace to the cycling community and get those of us who are responsible a bad name
As it happens, there is a small part of the viaduct at crunlin. If you look on gooly maps. At the bottom of bronawelon road. At junction look straight ahead, you will see a cream coloured shed and a brown one behind. Behind that what looks like a wall is the first of the concrete pillars for the start of the viaduct. Possibly the only bit left.
I feel your pain I smashed my derailleur and had to buy a new one but the thing is I've SRAM axs and there not cheap. However I would recommend them they are really tough mine just got smashed by a big rock at bpw
I'm done with old Tech, it's had its day. I've already got a new mech ordered and delivered ready for the next time but hopefully, the mgu will have been ordered by then 🙏🤞🤗😁
Do you need a range extender with a 960w battery? That will probably outlast you on all but the longest of rides! I don’t see there being a lightweight MGU bike for a while considering how new the tech is and how much space and weight that MGU takes up. Might be a while before we see a Rise type bike with small internal battery and range extender option. Hopefully I’m wrong! The Pinion Simplon and Nicolai Saturn are both awesome with seriously impressive specs and range. Honestly can’t believe your luck with derailleurs, I’ve sort of bent one but never broken one. It’s like the universe really wants you to get an MGU!! I can’t wait to try one out, and if you do order one I shall be giddy with excitement for you!!
I'm not looking top replace the Rise, its to replace the Wild and yes, a 720 plus range extender would be perfect and yes, I have used virtually all the juice on the 625 and the 500 and a couple of big rides. Take the birthday rise, exceptional ground conditions which sapped the power besides, its comforting to know that you have the power to get you out of or to your final destination 👍
Fair enough, Simplon Rapcon wins in the battery department… can be configured with a 960w plus a 535w extender which is an insane amount of battery! It’s a pricey and very heavy upgrade (almost 3kg) but i doubt that would matter on such a powerful and capable piece of machinery!! It will blast through the bog with no issues. Let’s hope this amazing tech start appearing on more brands soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Don't worry about the repair out in the field, its always difficult - but as you know I can't believe in the 21st Century that bikes have Derailleurs - I hate them. - Good on the Transport Corp for getting you back.
Yep, stroke of luck meeting another ex RCT guy and it turns out, the Squadron I was with when we went to NI in 1982 took over from the Squadron he was was with..... Spooky!
I was about to pull the trigger on a Simplon until I read that Pinion were working with other bike manufacturers in 2025 so I'm now waiting to see who else will be using their MGU. Just a real shame the new Nicolia Saturn 16 doesn't use it extender 😣 I'll sit tight and see who else is using it before I decide but it will happen 👌👍

Finding trails you've never ridden before always makes a ride seem better. The majority of the time anyway. Looking forward to seeing your adventures in part 2 even though you've already given the game away!
Have you got walk mode on your bike….my Cube hardtail has?…… specially useful where you have to push up inclines😎👌🏽love the track you’ve chosen….a bit challenging in parts. 😉

Agree, Wales is an amazing place to have on the doorstep for eeeBs, Cubs and walking 👌 If your thinking about getting a Cub, it won't be long before you get one 😏
Maybe Justin needs to get a windshield for his Cub but he certainly bombs around quickly. Did you spot any other similar sized engine bikes on the ride? Nice to see a chap on an e-bike at 9:18 with rather massive tyres.
Didn't see any other bikes of a similar size, just old boys on them big boys toys. Small is the way ahead. Yep, the little bikes do get a shift on and it's perfect for the narrow twisty stuff. 35 - 45 on the Cub seems like a Brazilion Mike's an hour 😂 I think the eeeB was one of the twist and go type rather than a regular scooter.

Bloody loved this one Andy boy! Spent so much of my teens in Wales, all the places you went today, I’ve been to! Was lovely to see. Elan Valley is stunning, I must take the Orbea there one day and set off on an epic ride. Devils bridge, Borth, Ynyslas, Aberystwyth, Aberaeron, Ponterwyd, Trefeurig… all places I’ve spent many happy days 😊 I really need to make time to get back to all of them, beautiful part of the country. Thank you!
Not too bad, 200 miles! I have friends in Aberaeron so I could go on to there after and stay a night! Think I’ve just talked myself into a little weekend trip 😅
A great video. I enjoy your adventures on your c90 cub. I had one many years ago I have a full motorcycle licence but have always found smaller bikes more suitable, They can go anywhere.
The Cubs are so much fun to ride and travel at the perfect speed to have fun but take everything in. Who needs more than a Cub? Its not as iff you can get value for money with a big engined big because you cant use all the power but with a Cub, its maximum value and using all of what you have got PLUS, it travelling in style 👌😁
