Fun trip to Vancouver to Squamish on that train as a child. Tracks went right next to a nude beach, which as a 10 year old was an eye opening experience.

The Southern Pacific and the Missouri Kansas Texas did run by eachother in real life. They had had lines running through Texas with their subsidiary Texas & New Orleans. There is a video of a Texas & New Orleans 2-10-2 running above an MKT H-3c Lima Pacific in San Antonio Texas. Not to mention I recently found a neat photo of a red MKT diesel passing by a pair of two Southern Pacific bloody nose diesels.
