We were just in that area earlier this year and just posted a video yesterday. Beautiful area. Definitely looking forward to another trip there in the future. Thank you for sharing.
@@TylerCampbellOutdoors Watched your video too. It was too awesome. The hike to & the Subway looked amazing. Yes a very beautiful place. We can’t wait to go back out to Utah and explore more. Thanks for watching!
The trail isn’t going to hike itself !!!! There were definitely people doing that didn’t need to be doing it and there were people that after a few steps, turned around.
Going up that path looked wide enough but one misstep that would be the end. That hike looked dangerous to me but glad to see it and that you guys made it.
Amazing the wisdom we had 60 years ago but today their are those who are so deranged that they think it president to allow a 9 year old to undergo “gender affirming” hormone injections and have their testicles amputated ….. the woke left is a cancer on humanity
I love Kanab and Coral Pink Sand Dunes. One of my favorite areas to explore. I've found a lot of sheds around Coral Pink Sand Dunes over the years. I've also enjoyed a great chili burger and some ho-made pie at the Thunderbird.
@@MinuteontheMountain being our first time out there, there are other areas around Kanab that I’d like to explore. That’s cool that you’ve found a lot of sheds in that area. Very interesting! We just had the pie… never heard of a “chili-burger!” I did find myself wanting a Bison-burger while in the area. There was a Bison Ranch & Restaurant not far from Thunderbird, but it was closed when we drove by it. It was up on the plateau just outside of Zion. Incredibly beautiful area!
@@OrvilFields you are correct! I love the creative part of it, but I really love being done with it more! Hahaha! Thank You for your kind sentiments & support. I really do appreciate you and seeing your comments! Thanks again, JBH
@@addie2739 Just thinking back to our experience makes me happy. That’s so cool that you’ve gotten the opportunity to stay there. Thanks for taking the time to watch & comment ! 🙂
@@RibeyeMoto-c6y Sounds wonderful….just having dinner there was a memorable experience, I bet staying there would have taken it to the next level of memories made. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Just found your videos on the Pinhoti Trail. Looking forward to seeing how the trail looks. I lived in the Birmingham area (north Shelby county) from June, 1990 to Feb. 1999. Over the years there, I day-hiked each section. It appears that the trail has been extended since 1999 in Alabama. I know it exists in Georgia but much of it there is on roads. I plan to watch all of your Pinhoti videos then start hiking the trail in Alabama. I have a 17-year old grandson that lives in Vestavia Hills that wants to join me. Thanks for your efforts. God Bless!
@@kenwbrenner Yes it has had some miles added since 1999. Specifically down at Flagg Mountain. It is a grand entrance now that we have the Firetower included. Still rugged, but beautiful, re-hiking it will likely feel brand new to you! Yes, there is still quite a bit of road walking in GA. Fortunately, we just re-blazed the entire GA Pinhoti with that beautiful Pinhoti Blaze-blue. That’s terrific that your grandson wants hike it with you. Thanks for watching and commenting…if you have any questions, just let me know 🙂, JBEN⚡️HIKES
@@kenwbrenner I would highly recommend getting the “FarOUT” app. It is the go to resource while on the trail. I use it for planning when I am planning to hike. It is absolutely worth the investment. Just go to your normal App Store and look it up. Once you get it downloaded, find the Pinhoti Trail.
@@JBENHIKES Thank you for your advice, and your excellent hiking videos. I have FarOut on my phone but have only used it for the AT. Will definitely get the one for the Pinhoti. I will also get the print guide you recommended. God Bless to you and your family!
Hi. Very much enjoyed watching this series. i've hiked the AT from Fontana Dam to Davenport Gap (in 2 hikes) s-n. After seeing this hike (BMT in SMNP), one could do a large "loop" hike in the national park as follows: 1. Hike BMT from Fontana Dam to the northen end of the park 2. Hike the AT from Davenport Gap south to Fontana Dam. Sounds logistically challenging but interesting as well. Regardless, look forward to more from your channel. God Bless
@@kenwbrenner This was a fun, but challenging hikes to do. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Your “Loop Summation” is correct. Wow… that would be one heck of a loop hike! Sounds like a good challenge…🤔 Thank you very much for the kind sentiments and support. JB⚡️H
@@DavidandJanice100 that was my first time and with all of the other trails left to hike for my GSMNp 900 map, it will probably be sometime before I get back… but hope to do it again. Going around the gate is too adventurous for me …ha! I wished I would have had the opportunity to go out there before it was damaged. Thanks for watching and commenting… much appreciated. JB⚡️H
Awesome video. Fantastic job on the editing. For some reason your videos haven't been showing up in my feed. I had no idea you guy were out in my neck of the woods. Looks like I've got some catching up to do.
It was an awesome trip! If you love nature, southern Utah should be on your “to-do” list. We will definitely be going back out sometime. Joy wanted to go to Arches National Park, but it didn’t fit into our timeframe due to its more eastern location. There’s just so much out there…I can’t express it enough. Stay tuned, there’s more to come!
Awesome video JBEN! Great music and beautifully put together as usual! I've been waiting for this and you did not disappoint. What an adventure. You and Joy are awesome!
The tripod incident was 😄(in retrospect)…. At the time I was not too happy 😠 Overall it added some interest to the storyline. Thanks for your support, JBH
Great, video, subscribed! We just stayed at site 90 one night and paddled to site 81 for 3 nights and also hiked over to site 77. Video coming soon. What kind of camera do you use?
Thanks Curtis… this was a fun hike and edit to put together. I’ve found myself watching this series here recently because I guess that I’m wanting to get back out on the trail. Thanks again!
I love the old timey look! i love your cinamatic (SP) look. It really really makes me want to get a drone. I wish I did this whole trail going into Heflin. I just went in far enough for the waterfall then turned back. Look forward to your next video!
Thx… enjoyed this hike and edit. Really a nice trail and resupply town. After the waterfall, it was very “Pinhoti-esque.” I have a love/hate relationship with the drone. Love the end result, but hate the process (carrying, getting it out, the drone anxiety and fear of it falling out of the sky). 🤙🏽 Here’s to the next video!
