The biggest problem is that it really looks just like Overwatch clone with Marvel characters. They are really well known, but Blizzard did some amazing cinematics to give their's characters some personality.
The only way this game would have a chance is if it releases as free-to-play from the start. Even so, it will be quite hard to maintain a decent player count.
12:50 What an amazing experience was to meet you at Tim Hortons Ben! I admire your work and I’m so excited to see what comes next! Hopping to assist to future cons! Great video/podcast! ❤ - Glow.
My spouse Gloria is who you met at Tim Hortons on Friday morning. She is too shy to post the picture but has been very excited about the random interaction. I guess you never know who you will run into at 6:30 in the morning. 😊
4:17 are you sure about that? maybe its because, you know, i played the game, but the game is FILLED TO THE BRIM with voice acting. from the intro to the lasts quests, you are bombarded by voices all the time. hell, one of the "main villains" in warframe even dubs over the trailer for every new prime release. since, in canon, he is the one behind their development. also, its very unfair to say this, when the main design director of the game, used to be the former head of community, AND, the voice of Lotus. Rebecca Ford. who EVERYONE in the community just affectionately calls "space mom". so you cant say this about the game, when it has so many memorable voiced characters. to the point of, even characters that have been dead for more than half a decade, are still quoted constantly by the community.
Considering Reb herself highlighted to us at the preview we attended that 1999 has its largest focus on voice acting ever, I think she knows what she's talking about.
@@VGC it IS the biggest focus on voice acting. doesnt mean the game was devoid of meaningfull voice acting. on the contrary, before the "player" didnt speak(outside of spoilers). but now, we will have a full cast of voiced playable characters. front and center.
I think he says that because he didn't play much of the story quests, since warframe goes from being very light on story in the early game to very story heavy in mid to late game. So people that played warframe casually don't know that it even has such a huge amount of story content until they see one of the Tennocon demos. especially because of how much the community avoids spoilers.
@@VGC 1999 does have the largest focus on voice acting but that's because of all the big name voices actors, that doesn't mean it has the most voices lines. 1999 is a 2h quest that comes with an open world. so it will not have anywhere near as many voice lines as something like the New War quest which is around 5 hour long campaign which is entirely story focused.
1:35 "...of Firewalk and the games that we make and will hopefully continue to make...." Then look at the woman on his left. Dude, it's like they already know they're cooked!
It's not for me. I'm not big into FPS shooters. I like the idea of sci-fi themes and games. I'm just here to learn from people's mistakes. At this point it needs to go back into the characters and designs. It needs to be different. Or released at a different time.
Here's a free marketing tip for Kim. If want players to get excited for your game, stop constantly referring to it as Intellectual Property. You're not pitching to investors.
so do we know if they retooled the mechanics from Sonic Forces or is it the same as sonic generations mechanics wise. Forces was terrible in terms of movement, so i hope we go back to generations.
Ben is so precious. I love him. FF8 was also my frst experience and introduction to the series, so I have special feelings about it. Either we see a remake in maybe 20 years, or fans should start a petition to remake it! :)
Weren't you the ones who said this game would be a success??? Bunch of hypocritical liars! You are part of the purchased media. Your existence is a disservice to society.
I used to play crucible o destiny 1 I loved it , don’t think much to the skits idea , but if you can play with randoms fine it’s free on ps+ to the 15 th
To me it seems the hate only comes from the fact that it “looks” like an Overwatch clone, regardless if it does why should a single company make said game? New ideas deserve to be given a chance , and the developers worked on this for years
Call me crazy, but Shadow's gameplay feels stiff as fuck in comparison to the original game's gameplay. The speed is also toned down like Forces which isn't something a Sonic game should be, slow. The free falling is far more controlled and slow, the homing attacks on objects feel more like they belong in Sonic Forces, and the animations after he does one has no style behind them like Sonic's does where he does a pose after a homing attack. The initial animation on homing attacking enemies is really cool but there's no impact on the hits. No pose afterwards. Feels like there still refinding the soul of Sonic games.
You could’ve at least given a quick animation pop up on the screen when chaos control is activated, not green the screen, like how boring is that? Also no face animation, shadows animation is too stiff, I’ve seen better from fan’s, and you could’ve done emerald coast or emerald hill for sonics stage not the same shit over and over again, so cheap, also shadows levels are too empty no soul and not a lot going on, the best part was shadow kicking that shit and jump through then warping to different parts, also where is the SEGA arcade theme in this, like I want to see points when I do tricks, I want to be told good or great etc. How much are you selling sonic for? the fans will collectively buy him at this point and make it better This game feels like they need money for their next project Then when they don’t make money on this shit they get all offered and blame us because they think they can’t trust their fans like “oh every time we listen fans it never works out” like we asked for this game like 10 years ago and we didn’t ask for a shit version of it
