Hey bro, I’m glad you made this video! Mine are coming in the mail tomorrow. I’ve been wanting these for a long time and I’m glad I stumbled across this video. The adjustment screws. I got a plan for that. I’m gonna mark out where they’re at and then drill a hole straight through the core support for all four that way I can adjust it. My truck has been in the works for six years it’s a fully built and street legal Baja race truck I’ve spent close to $50,000 a year so roughly about 300,000 on this truck I’m putting the final touches on it this coming week and I cannot wait to see what these lights look like on my specific build
@jmedlife74 thanks for the heads up, think I'll try another brand.i tried some from rzlights, they had weird stuff going on in my dash and climate control.
The next time you find that kind of rust on anything that has to wait for a day when you can tackle the job properly... 1) Wire brush the loose scale off. No need to try and take all the rust off, or the nest step won't work. 2) Brush on a coating of "Permatex Rust Treatment". It will dry shortly and turn black on places where there is rust, and will remain clear on the painted and non rusted surfaces around the rust area, letting you know it did it's job. 3) Brush on another coat of the Treatment and let it dry. 4) Go inside and do something productive, and next year have it repaired properly. This stuff works wonders around the house as well. Got a rusty mailbox, or milk chute, or what have you? Just prep it like before, and then paint it with "Rustoleum Oil Based Protective Enamel". End of rust, happy wife, and you can learn to sing Doo Wop with the all the time you save.
@@jmedlife74 You want ME to do a demonstration of singing Doo Wop???? Have you forgotten that I have a vocal range of at best 1/3 of an octave? No thanks, my brother, I'm not ready for the Apollo.
Make sure to disconnect the battery or put it on a tender if you plan to drive it. Put some fuel stabilizer in the tank. Jack it up so the tires don't get flat spots. And of course give a gift to the family member that let you store it in their garage.
I'm glad I had a hand into talking you into keeping that treasure of your dad's. Tell Angela I said Hi. and that I won't dress like a white boy the next time we go to a Take Six concert.
At first, I thought you sold it. I was about to say, Nooo!! Then when I saw the location, I was like, "Oh. I know that place." LOL. Though its never looked like that before in my lifetime.
Not neccessarily. You can get good sound with the 4x10s. Not alot of lows tho. If you have a sub its not neccessary. These have a better range than the 4x10s. You can cut clearance for even a 6x9 if you want.
@@jmedlife74 ohh okay i see. thanks for the quick response! if I was gonna do something like that myself, id just be cutting out what space I need on the roof and using the bracket that comes with whatever speaker I get?
Need more torque on the bolts, that itty bitty drill isnt going to cut it, need an impact or breaker bar. Also RIP your floorboard, what a shitty surprise
0:55 that thing you just said is the exact reason why my headlight craze started! I wasn't about to settle with my shadow being cast in front of me. I got into retrofitting, but i just got my 96 and the lights are way too small to do that
Hello there I'm Genesis I want to get a 98 suburban. And looking at these same headlights, after about 10 months (since your video posted, would you still recommend these ?
Recently came across a Tahoe Limited that was being scrapped. I purchased the roof for $100, yes $100. The guy gave me the old headliner… Now I am more motivated, especially with your video, to reupholster the headliner.
Great job, only thing i would add.. get a star washer between the bottom ground strap and the frame it will allow it to bite into the metal for a better grounding surface. I wouldnt worry about replacing them they still have plenty left
