Congrats on racing at 50, your B day and the race. I am considering it for next year. My daughter lives in Marquette. Good excuse to go visit. LOL. Iceman is my biggest race. 48 miles and rocks to climb sounds like a lot. They don't seem to have the course on the web site. Any idea where I can find it to help with my decision. Oh.. do you plan on racing it again? Just curious.
@@kurtmeier6982 Thank you! I don’t think I will race it again anytime soon. It was fun, but the big races I just don’t think are my style. It can be an expensive weekend, but I enjoyed it for sure. We will see. I would say go for the Hard Rock. You’ll be fine. There are some rocks and climbs. But lots of down hill too. It’s a great experience.
Thanks, I’m just getting into mountain biking I did the ore to shore soft rock 28 mile on my gravel bike and now I’m thinking about getting a full suspension mtb
@@Cyclingenthusiast44 Nice! Yes, full suspension is really nice. I think having a quiver of bikes is the best option. But maintaining all of them can be a challenge.
I believe there is now. When we were there last summer it wasn't up and ready yet, but, I think they have it now. Keweenaw Adventure Company was the shuttle service if I remember correctly. Hope to see you out on the trails sometime. Love your videos!
@@SAMAoutdoors Thank you! Yeah it looks like they have a shuttle that runs on the weekends now. I will be up there next weekend and I'm stoked to check out the east bluff for the first time. Thanks for the info, SUBBED!
Thanks a bunch bro! Can’t believe this thing didn’t come with even the slightest manual card. Every flap felt equally sealed so I did not know where to pull with co finance without fucking up my expensive new thing
Rode it today after twenty years and having moved out of state. I remember a downhill section we referred to as "the power lines," but I think I missed that somehow today. Anyway, the trail didn't seem as epic as I remember. Weird.
Always wanted to do this, and finally booked a tandem jump in grand haven on May 20th! I can't wait! So excited right now. Watching your vids are making me even more impatient.
That's not Michigan! He-He 🤣 Did you check out the Gamebird factory while you were there? [It's an aerobatic airplane.] You stopped the video at the uphill section. Can you ride uphill? Thanks, wondering what you've been doing.
😂Yup, not in Michigan this time. Yes, you can ride a short uphill section to “Sally” and then back down again. I believe there is an easier climb near an access road. But we didn’t go that way.
