I cannot find flight from Seoul Korea to Istanbul via Turkish Airline, which is a member of StarAlliance. What the system only reveals is the one via Singapore airline with layover. They’re two separate mileage currencies. I do not think conversion is possible but you may be able to log into miles&smiles and redeem Singapore Airlines award tickets when it's available. ^^ all the best.
Hi Boss, question! I was able to save up some points and would be needing a flight from Manila to San Francisco. But everytime I use the redeem points, parating naka waitlist. Is there a way to bypass this? Our dates are immoveable kasi. And if Ticket + upgrade, baka might not be worth it?
Flights from Singapore to anywhere in the US are usually in demand. Hence, the airline is quite reluctant on releasing the award space kaya laging nakawaitlist yung status. Ticket plus upgrade may not be an option kasi depende pa din sa availability ng seats yung upgrade ninyo. Mas mabuti pang iredeem niyo nalang immediately kung may points na kayo or just waitlist nalang for now. There’s no way to bypass this. The system is set up to prioritize the airline's goal-profitability. If you can’t wait for the results ng waitlist, won’t it be an option to just book your alternatives now and cancel the ticket later? Or perhaps book niyo nalang somewhere where you’ll get cheaper onward tickets from like Tokyo, Taipei, Hong Kong or Seoul? Star Alliance carriers sometimes have some good routes from these cities (ANA, Asiana, EVA) All the best! 🤗

As a general rule if your tickets are booked separately, you’ll have to recheck your bags but this depends on the other airlines if they have codeshare or baggage agreement. For instance if it's all star alliance, it will be seamless. You’ll only have to pick up your bag at the final destination. But with the routes you mentioned it's safe to say that you’ll probably have to recheck your bags at some transit points.

Hey there, sorry for the late reply. If it's the same airline (assuming Singapore Airlines) throughout the journey, it's likely you won’t need to. However, from Glasgow to Frankfurt your airline is likely to be Lufthansa, part of Star Alliance. I suggest you contact Lufthansa counter staff to ask if they'd allow you to check your bags through when you are booked under multiple tickets. Also, make sure you have at least 2 hours in between flights just to be able to react if anything were to happen. Also, have a valid visa that allows you to enter EU and Singapore. Lastly, make sure your bag is tagged all the way to Penang upon check-in. Take pictures of the bags and tags just in case you need to claim for insurance and airline later. All the best ^^
I have the exact same areas of attack, only on the right side. Front neck, chin, lower beard, back of neck and scalp. I thought it was spider bites and first. To my surprise, every flight I checked was on WAITING LIST ?? Do you know Why ? Do I need to transfer my points FIRST. , or will the Waiting List show up either the point in your account or not? Singapore Airlines puts some flights that are potentially on demand or filling up fast on a "Waiting List" to maximize profits. You don't need to transfer your points to view the availability but you do need the points to put yourself on the list. If or when the seats gets released, you’ll be notified via WhatsApp or email when your booking/ticket can be confirmed. If it doesn’t clear 14 days before your waitlisted flight departure date, your flight will automatically be cancelled. All the best Manuela!

Your case isn't quite as straightforward. But if you’re going to let someone redeem an air ticket using your miles then you ought to add them as an authorized nominee so yes, you'd have to. To simplify matters, just add them as a nominee and redeem their air ticket for them hence you'd still have to do this.
I'm trying to add a nominee but it kept on saying "We are unable to add your nominee due to name mismatch. Please ensure that the name of the nominee in your account matches to that of your nominee's KrisFlyer account before adding his/her KrisFlyer number." but I am 100% sure the passenger details are already correct. Do you perhaps know what's wrong or how to fix this problem?
