@ExtraBadnik by the way i really liked the background but i guess that sea from the background doesnt fit the zone.you can make some huge desert rocks or pyramids from sandopolis act 1 or something but thats just a suggestion and also is this zone has an unique bossfight or it will have an reskined version of giant worm boss from msz act 1?
Eu A little announcement: SCDSR - will not be on SHC 2024. This decision was made almost a month ago. Why?: I am not only working on this mod, but also on the Sonic 2 Archives hack (I am one of the three main managers). And this project will also be on SHC 2024, and there is much more work in it than on this mod. So I decided to continue working on S2A instead of the mod. The release of the next demo is postponed until Autumn (November) or possibly on the eve of the New Year holidays. Ru Небольшое объявление: SCDSR - не будет на SHC 2024. The team is cooking with this mod, and I love it! Also the addition of Baneful Badland (Desert Dazzle) is pretty cool, nice to finally give the desert region (seen on the Little Planet D.A Garden sprite) a whole round.
will you have options to remove some levels from the mix, so you can do a full playthrough with just dubious depths and final fever enabled and also is it compatible with miracle edition
Personally, I adore CD but felt that it was a little too short. But from what was shown here that problem is thrown out the window. And on the topic of adding stuff that was scrapped, one idea that I had that probably hasn’t been done and could be amazing for this mod, is to add the scrapped Death Egg version at the end. Overall, cheers to all y’all on the team for your beautiful work so far :)
Did you accidentally mix up the games? Death Egg is from Sonic 2 and 3, not CD. The CD was never planned to DEZ. Or is that what you call Final Fever? If so, FFZ is far from the same as Death Egg
Dubious Depths looks cool as always; I'm more surprised by the fact that you also decided to restore Desert Dazzle (and possibly Final Fever in the far future, no pun intended). I noticed that you decided to go for a more "custom" tileset with a gold(ish) palette, despite there being an incomplete (and kinda playable if using rsdk) act 1 of Desert Dazzle in Origins' data; don't get me wrong, I like it and I also think the banners are really cool as they give a similar feeling to Mirage Saloon and also differentiate it at the same time. I've just got one question: what's the idea behind the tileset of Baneful Badland? is it striving for a more "CD-like" appearance? or is it more of a personal look you want to give to it? I'm curious
Yes, my BBZ is a newer level than Desert Dazzle is. I didn't want to use the original because: 1. I'm tired of the "Western" levels, for me it's also brainless and stupid, like sunset in Act 2 in Green Hill-like levels or the addition of Drop Dash, 2. Desert Dazzle has already grown into the Mirage Saloon, we can't have two identical levels. BBZ is now a desert with shrubs and animal remains near the Little Planet Sea, in the vicinity of which Eggman has deployed the construction of mines (in the future city) And yes, I use my tileset set because: 1. The original is shit (making a ground pattern measuring 32 by 32 pixels was a bad idea, Whitehead), 2. There are very few decorations, 3. It does not fit my idea. At the same time, I make graphics while still maintaining the CD style (But I do not pretend to be 100% reliable)

There are also 2 versions of that level: The one we know from the mockup in the remake, and one from some concept art for the original CD version, which was set around Never Lake, similar to the title screen.
I know this is a weird request, but can you add the Nicolas Quiles songs originally intended for Desert dazzle? I have the separated us past themes mod and it is kind of sickening to have to listen to relic ruins and Alexy's us themes don't work either. The NQ themes are a perfect fit, they feel simular yet different enough to Da garden. The only track that doesn't fit the us soundtrack is the "B" mix. I would be very greatful if you do this.❤
@@borisod7220 Sorry, but we can’t add these themes for Dubious Depths, since all slots for music are already occupied (Eu is renamed to Alt Mix 1, and the Johney and Colterex themes to Alt Mix 2 and 3, respectively), and it’s not possible to throw out some of the already existing ones we will. However, it has not yet been publicly disclosed, but the mod is being renamed to something like "Sonic CD's scrapped rounds restoration": the mod will now include Desert Dazzle (with a different default name), Final Fever and Bonus Stage. The music for Desert Dazzle has not yet been decided, so it will likely have fewer track options. But maybe (MAYBE) we will add these tracks for Desert Dazzle, because I liked the GF version, but first we will need to improve them so that they sound normal
