i really liked this story. its something different bcause It teaches us 2 put God in font of everything. God must lead our relationship. God created relationships & He knows us better than ourselves, He created us so He should b the one lead our lives. Go 2 God in everything & for everything. yes we have a responsibility, b its God thats going 2 get us thru it all. think on these things & b very careful who we listen 2 or take advice from especially as a Christian. remember the devil is stil at work.

I get that he lost his job and had trouble finding another one, but he really expected her to work, pay all the bills, cook, clean, and even have sex with him? I see why Gladus did what she did: she's a human too and shouldn't be a slaving away to a guy that wouldn't even take care of the house. The fact that this is making Gladus out to be the bad guy is sad. It's no wonder women are leaving the church: they're sick of being victim blamed and carrying everything.
I think you missed the point. Please go back and watch the episode. The man is not a bad man but was down for a moment. She mistreated a good man who was out of work. He never neglected his duties. He cannot cook. He forget to clean. He did not say no to cleaning. He simply forgot due to stress. The moral of the story is to not demean your ***responsible***spouse when they are down. Gladys did that. Christ does not approve of such action, whether male or female. The man was not a bum. Read Ephesians 5: 20 -33. It tells you all you need to know about the view of God for marriage.
