We had a lad start with us. Experienced labourer he said. Asked him to get a mix on. 4:1, 4 sand and one cement. 20 minutes later he lands with the barrow with 4 shovels of sand and 1 shovel of cement in it. Gone
I think this video represents all trades now days I'm a air-conditioning Engineer and trust me what I have seen coming through I'm glad I'm retiring soon !
I recall labourers back in the 1980s who could straight arm lift bags of cement from the ground over their head. And another who gutted an entire old house in a day (kitchens, bathrooms, plumbing, electrics, blown plaster, doors & frames, some walls, ready for a refurb), covered head to toe in black soot, with zero PPE gear on. Everything worked so much better back then, without jobsworth H&S types making life difficult.
I mean if you're an insecure loser then yeah that's probably what you're thinking. But more socialized people generally don't care and don't analyze and judge everyone. But that said, maybe you should have paid attention in school.
