LOL, black dirt???? I had never heard of that one!!!! Some of my neighbors don't get it, they cut so short it almost looks like a putting green and then dead!!
This is NOT* the most efficient way to pre-germinate grass seed! Grass seed that is left in a bucket of water is going to get moldy and germinate much slower. What you WANT* to do is: 1.) Soak the seed in water for 24 hours 2.) Drain the water 3.) Let the seed sit in the empty bucket with not water for 24 more hours. This exposes the seed to air/oxygen which the seed needs. 4.) After that 24 hour block^^^ soak or water the seed again but immediately drain the water out. Do not let the seed sit in the water. 5.) Continue steps 3 & 4 until you see germination. Let me know your thoughts. Respectfully, JPD
I was thinking of mixing 3 liquids together, 2 ounces of DEF, 2 ounces of Magnesium Sulfate, and 2 ounces of Chelated Iron per gallon of water. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated on amounts and combinations I plan on using. Maybe adding a Surfactant and Green Dye to this too.
Corporate sales manager. Just saying . You can do this your self. An this is a public service announcement. It's has been approved by the dem party's. So enjoy your doctor will love you.
I disagree strongly that watering in the evening is better than nothing. If you water in the evening, your lawn doesn't have enough time to dry out completely before the dew hits. And what you're doing is leaving your lawn damp over night and longer leaf wetness that is a major breeding ground for fungus. Watering in the evening is not smart at all. You would be better off not watering and letting your grass go dormant because your grass will bounce back nice after the rains start coming again. But once you get fungus from watering in the evening, that can kill parts of your lawn causing you more $ to reseed and a more ugly lawn than just a uniform look of going into dormancy. Yes I agree that watering in mid day is a bad idea because you are losing about half of that thru evaporation. Watering early in the morning @5am is the best and make sure you're done by 8 am. If you are scarrifying your lawn regularly you may be able to get away with watering around 10am. But still, I wouldn't take the chance. Once you get hit with fungus(even if doing everything right), all your hard work is washed down the drain until the end of September when you can re-seed your lawn and feed it to get it back on track. You work way too hard on your lawn to be careless and let it all slip away until late September, because cool season grasses are not growing vigorously in hot summer to repair itself and you can't put enough nitrogen down in hot summer to help it grow out. Otherwise adding that much N in the hot summer is just compounding the fungus problem. Hope that helps. Work hard but work SMART .
Herees a trick load your truck up Attach a sprayer and attachemnt to your DEF tank so you still get DEF but the trucks dont use it when deleted then you got a mobile sprayer for the pastures and or fields that you want to have grss on😂
Hey Jesse! Big fan of your channel! I’m about to apply my first ever application of T Nex using your recommendation of 50% of the recommended amount on the first application, 75% on the second and then step up to 100% on the third. My plan is to apply once a month, but since I’m using less should I apply the second application 2 weeks after the first and the full application 3 weeks after the second and then go monthly once I’m using 100% or just stick with the monthly application no matter what? Appreciate you man!
Hey Jerome. I think that sounds like a great plan. Sometimes an app won't last quite a month, but you'll be able to tell when it wears off. The grass will start growing like crazy. It depends on rain, heat, etc for how long it will last. If you really want to go down the rabbit hole look up GDD (growing degree days)
He must own stock in this company, because this is all BULLSH!T. "The CHEAPEST Liquid Fertilizer in the WORLD" is actually your own urine. Considering the fact you actually PAY to flush it down a sewer system, it will actually give you a positive cash flow to use it instead of the crap he's peddling.
Went ahead and went down to an inch on my back yard yesterday.. also dethatched for the first time and fertilized. Looks terrible at the moment but I’m going to trust the process!
Quackgrass! Not crabgrass. QUACKGRASS!!!! Need to know most worthy way to eliminate it from a lawn and be able to reseed with Kentucky Blue Grass afterwards. In six years I've resurrected a shambles of a lawn except for the QUACKGRASS. I know it's going to ruin the appearance for awhile, but looking for a solution. Best I can find so far is to 'dab' each plant above ground with a strong herbicide (not sure which one yet...), given the way the roots string-out. Any thoughts?????
Doesn’t matter when you water, other than late evening, as long as it’s not for a short period of time. I have one of the best lawns in our neighborhood and I don’t have a sprinkler system.
