I don't understand the "written by a Taylor T5 through June Millington." I feel that kind of detracts from June's years of practice, dedication, experiences, and hardships to say a manufactured bit of wood and metal wrote the song instead of her; a living, breathing, feeling piece of consciousness. She wrote it through the Taylor, not the other way around.

Everything I've learned about June and her sister Jean's life history, musical career and the stories they share leaves me covered in goosebumps. I love your music and I can't help having a young boy's crush on June and all the members of Fanny, even though I'm in their age group. But listening to music like their''s keeps me young inside, and I love you and your good works and contributions very much. Wishing the best for Jean's recovery from a stroke!

Only 491 views, 28 likes and 7 comments since 2014? How is that possible June? Beautiful version of that song, brought a tear to my eye, Mom in convalescent home 4 years and Dad going down hill, both at 87..... I hope your sister Jean has recovered well from her illness, I hope you are doing well....I still have not seen the documentary , I hope to see it soon....regards from Santa Cruz.........

I know, for some reason I'm just branded with the rock thing! Well, I'm glad you caught ... sorry to hear about your parents, we definitely can't really get away from that, can we? Jean is still working on her recovery, and I enjoy the doc when you see it! (I'll be on PBS next year ...:)) xx

Hi June, saw your link on wings of pegasus channel. I thought I was a rock expert, until a friend of mine told me about fanny a few yrs ago. I am embarassed that I didnt know of your band. After a few watched videos, I went right out and bought Charity Ball and Fanny Hill. They are secure in my rotation, right next to Manassas, Butterfield Blues band and the Dead to name a few. I really enjoy the stories relating to Bowie, Little Feat & Bonnie Raitt etc. BTW-Just love this video, and wish you well. Peace, Matt

I was a fan of some contemporary Gospel music back in the 80s when there were some very good Christian bands performing. Amy Grant, Benny Hester, Will McFarlane, Phil Keaggy and others. I tried to steer clear of the "sex, drugs, rock-n-roll" genres due to the toxic and dangerous environments they fostered. I always listened to the lyrics, and if I couldn't buy off on what they were selling I would move on. Some of the Gospel stars would "cross-over" to secular music and it would ruffle a lot of feathers in the Christian community. Some of them would fall into scandals and eventually the whole Christian music scene collapsed. It is nice to hear Rachel talk about her roots singing for the Bahai's and didn't really have to "cross-over". She sings jazz based and contemporary music, really anything that she likes to without having the difficulty of navigating an arbitrary line in the sand that was drawn by some. Then again, back in the eighties there was a huge cultural war going on between Christians and pop culture, giving rise to heavy metal bands, many of which would poise themselves directly against Christianity and the Bible. There was the whole debate over censorship and labeling of music going on, and also the long laundry list of scandals that plagued Christianity. The Bahai Faith seems to have an anti-proselytization policy which means they don't push it like the Christians do. Anyways. It is interesting and I am glad Rachel can sing as she pleases without being pressured to a certain platform. And I am glad she can still keep her faith.
