My friend shares a name with one of Thunderchild’s crew He cried for 10 minutes straight when I showed him the book. He then got up, grabbed his trumpet and played taps for thunderchild’s crew who without self regard, sacrificed themselves to save civilians This is why HMS Thunderchild is the best ship in WoTW (in my honest opinion)
Bro, literally just stumbled on this video, and honestly, I love the shots where you drew inspiration from the stage shows. It’s just so beautiful, unlike anything I’ve seen before
aint no way thunderchild died to a tripod is this like this the ap shells would erase the tripods or maybe only if they renamed the USS dreadnought to the thunderchild maybe baybe 20 tripods would stand a chance
It's a shame they never made this scene in any of the movie adaptations (a good one atleast) because it's such a cool and badass story, a lone ship taking on the clearly superior and outnumbering foe and sacrificing themselves to protect the fleet of refugees from certain death. A ship full of men dedicated to make a stand against the invaders even though they must've been terrified themselves. An almost impossible chance to buy time for the rest of the Naval fleet to arrive to protect the refugee fleet. It is a great traversty that most don't know about this very cool story of the underdog sacrificing themselves to protect the innocent.
I love the book and this music. Ive bought this album as part of used vinyls bundle.not even knowing what it was. Thanks to this ive read the book. Really awesome stuff.
