Does this mod adjust enemy/obstacle cycles to account for the much faster movement? I could never consistently get past the sharks at the beginning of A Real Grind without either waiting or wasting a mask, but it seems like it would be trivially easy in this version.
Lots of different adjustments were made to the levels in time trial mode. Some of them are not really noticable in themselves (mostly because they just feel so natural), but they do make for better flow during TTs. That level specifically has an extra mask just after that section (4 in total), so one can be sacrificed to the sharks while still having the possibility to get triple Aku. Plus the hyperspin is quite a bit faster, so it's easier to clear that section before the sharks have a chance to jump up and grab you.
Are those lasers or sausages? 😂 In all seriousness though, it's a shame this stuff was cut, would've made the fight feel more impactful and intense. Thank you for showcasing this!
Links to download the mod are in the description. You need to have bought Crash 4 on either Steam or Battle.net, as the mod does not work without it. (In case this wasn't clear)
I appreciate the N-verted levels being optional and not removed! It's too bad they're not mirrored though, since I think that's a cool choice for an "alternate level". Honestly I don't think it'd be bad if they were required but had no gems in them, if that's how you're able to implement them as they were intended, while also cutting the fat. This mod is SUCH a service, with fair completion!
Amazing video! The grind rail sections remind me of when you're driving on the motorway then come off the slip road to a slow speed. Everything just feels so slow😂

If i could ask for one thing, it would be keeping the mask for next levels like the other games, without the mod theres only a few maps that u can get masks lvl 3 and thats if you dont get hit

Yes you can and actually, I was on the N.Brio world when I installed the mod and when I entered the map suddenly the Achivement of "Collect Half of the gems" pop in xD
The only things i deem absolutely necessary are the optional inverted levels and the removal of redundant collectables. Everything else ranges from slightly helpful to planely making the game easier which i don't quite agree with
I would personally make so each level has 3 gems (hidden, all boxes and 80% wumpa), you get the skins by getting all the 3 gems in each level and the golden relics are the ones required for completion (and I personally wouldn't change much of the level design outside of the hidden boxes and more aku aku crates, i like how unforgiven and challenging the game can be) Other than that, amazing mod honestly! It really fixes the only problem I had with the game...i can't wait to play it. Also, I'm not sure how hard that would be to implement (probably a lot), but i think it would be cool that, if you bring back the n verted levels, you beat them by starting at the end of the level and going to the start (while the camera is behind crash, of course). It would require changes in the level design, but i feel like it would make those levels much more unique
Hi, I'm going through the game at 106% right now, I'm interested in one question, in order to complete the game at 106%, it is necessary to knock out all 38 platinum relics in the game, or you can just knock out any, as it turns out, so that there is just any relic in the game. And yet, what is a relic of full enthusiasm in the game, I accidentally got one, and saw that I needed 38 of them, everything was necessary for 106% of them, and how to get them, I thought first I had to go through the levels without death, well, I passed some levels, I only have one, what exactly is needed to do this, like collect all the boxes without ever dying in the level?
You only need sapphire time relics for the bonus endings, anything above that is completely optional (platinums give 2% extra though). N.Sanely perfect relics are also optional. (You get them by breaking all crates without dying)
How would you recommend this mod for a first time player? Just got the game and was thinking of trying it with this mod first and saving myself frustration lol, is there anything I miss by going for this mod my first time through the game?
I'd recommend you try the game _with_ the mod first. I've seen quite a few players who came to really dislike the base game because they were frustrated with its difficulty, tedium and padding. All of those were accounted for in the mod, making it vastly less frustrating and strenuous. The game is largely still the same, but quite a few tweaks have been made to the completion and level designs, to sand off any rough edges. There haven't been many things that were outright removed in the mod (*original* content, that is), so you're not missing out on much.
I could get the purple Relics in regular game. But those time looked almost impossible for me to get them.. I mean thise master Relics are for Pro Players like you only. I'm NOT that pro for those times... 😂 amazing skill btw 👏
PC players, you guys are lucky af! This is the game we should've gotten! If us consoles players had this mod, then I would've more than likely completed the game 100%!!!
