I'm late to the dance posting here about this song, but there is something magical about discovering this pressing before they joined Mac. Back in the day, a friend who worked a local "record store" recommended this treasure to me and I am blessed my friend Steve did. Great song and thank you for posting. It's still listened to 12 years since you posted it. Thank you SWG.
So this is the song that Mick Fleetwood heard and said “Yes! That’s our next guitarist.” Abd the world changed 😄 Easy to understand why. Just listened to the slow build on guitar from like 4:00 to 5:10 or so… wow. Great work from a young Lindsey Buckingham.
Makes me feel 20 again. Entire album was of beauty and innocence and an open heart. My friend Nick -- fields of grass around the campus. The wind blowing and us singing this album word for word through the dormitory and out the windows sharing with all. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
**** I first heard this song in Fall 1973. A friend of mine, Joe Swanson, who was a disc jockey for WSAN 1470 AM in Allentown, PA, played it a lot. Just tremendous song and singing.
You may not be as strong as me And I may not care to teach you It may be hard to keep up with me But I'll always be able to reach you And if you go forward, I'll meet you there And if you climb up through the cold freezing air Look down below you; search out above And cry out to life for a frozen love Life gave me you; the change was made And there's no beginning over You are not happy, but what is love? Hate gave you me for a lover... And if you go forward, I'll meet you there And if you climb up through the cold freezing air Look down below you; search out above And cry out to life for a frozen love
