Yes, you cleaned your engine so good that the tar jam dripped down the pipe and coated the A/F and Oxy sensors. Fill tank and run it at high speed and see after.
I did everything like you said and it back to normal. But there is one thing that the rpm surges up when it back down to 1000 rpm, so when in drive mode, it keeps the car still running while I don’t press gas, the rpm around 1300 at that time. Anyone experienced that and how to fix this? It wastes the gas
Those two holes in the drum are threaded so that means if it is stuck on you can screw two threaded bolts of appropriate size ( about 8 MM or 10MM) into the hole and tighten it to force the drum off - fart better than using a bar. It is also a good idea to partly remove that speed sensor to avoid damaging it if you can easily do it - might need some WD to free it.
I died of old age waiting for you to get to the point. Also, no brake drum even at the factory ever came off that fu__ing easy. Next time, shut the f__k up and just show the helpful hint and stop trying to pretend you're a superstar with your own weekly TV show. We don't need a narrator, we just need a quick helpful hint. All the crap you explained to people about how their brakes work, means, if they don't already know all of that, they shouldn't be working on brakes, period. Your advice to them should be more like please never trust your life (or mine) with the limited knowledge you have about automotive brakes. I appreciate your effort, but less talky, more showy. If you asked for directions to the nearest gas station, you don't want to know the names of every human between here and there, you want quick, short, accurate, directions. Please, hints, not a variety show.
I have honda civic 2015 Lx 1.8 Liter..i took off my throttle body completely, and cleaned it very well, and put it back with brand new air filter ,and cleaned air mass sensor..my car still idling 1500rpm to 2000..all this method didn't work on my car..can any body help me, what should i do??
Had P0606 come on and acceleration cut out while driving. Had throttle cleaned, and occasionally receive p0507 code for higher RPMs. I repeated this videos process twice exactly....and RPMS still sit at 1.1k and go to 1.4-1.5k when fan kicks in. Since the cleaning, ive driven about 15 miles. Anyone know what to do? 08 civic
Maybe this can help... "Vehicle(s): 2006-08 Civic, 2006-08 Civic GX, and 2006-2011 Civic Hybrid Details: If a Honda Civic, included within the year and model range listed above, comes in with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0606, Honda advises to first verify that the factory recommended spark plugs are installed. Aftermarket spark plugs may have built-in capacitors that can cause electrical interference, which will set DTC P0606. Also, the same DTC could set if the spark plugs are badly worn with a gap of 0.080” or more."
@@metzmatu8409 Thanks for sharing. I replaced my spark plugs and ignition coils with genuine parts and that seems to solve it. I was running my 08 civic with the original coils til 205k (oops lol) My faulty coils fried my spark plugs way sooner.
Your fronts wear out faster since it’s a front wheel drive car like mine is an all wheel drive so mine wear out about the same time so they rotate them so you have to replace your fronts again sooner than if they were in the back
RockAuto is not an official KYB distributor. KYB struts usually cost about $200-$250 at all official retailers. If you bought a KYB strut from a non official seller where do they get their struts from? KYB will not provide products to any unofficial distributor, you can read it on their website. In order to avoid counterfeit products KYB strongly recommends to purchase only from official distributors. Here is a response from KYB corporate to a RockAuto buyer who got bad struts: "Here’s what KYB customer service had to say as I sent them information about the issues. I do apologize for any inconvenience you may be having with our product. Unfortunately, RockAuto is not a certified KYB seller, this means they do not get their supply directly from us and may be going through a third-party supplier. We are unable to make any contact or transactions with none certified KYB sellers. We do not have any way of interfering with their return/replacement policies."
I did everything you said. Idle was still rough . I took it for a good drive and it reset itself to 800 RPM. Purrs like a kitten . Odometer reads 200k ,it now runs better than it’s ever run before . Thanks so much . 👍
Thank you so much. Great detail ! I read the website's directions , but actually watching someone do the idle relearn first helped me have more confidence in doing this task. Great video!
Not sure what year your civic is exactly but mine is a 2011 and I get completely different part numbers although the lengths are the same. Not sure if they made it per year or yours might be before the mid model redesign that usually happens.
