Hello! I'm Danica, a registered nurse originally from the Philippines, now practicing in the United Kingdom. As an NHS Band 5 nurse, I began my career in the Emergency Department, where I spent 28 months before transitioning to the Ophthalmology Department. It is here that I discovered my true passion and love for the profession.
My vlogs delve into the world of nursing, providing a candid glimpse into our everyday experiences. I aim to assist and inspire future nurses on their journey towards this fulfilling career.

Am sure you will both enjoy Paris in September. Ideal time to visit because not only you avoid the Olympics and sky high prices but also August in Paris can be a sweltering hot month.

You should feel incredibly proud of yourself for this outstanding accomplishment. Keep up the amazing work, and know that you're making a positive impact.
if you are still young and have the opportunity to work in USA. go for it... they offer a better salary and the cost of living is cheaper than in the UK. just take your NCLEX and english exams as your passport to your american dreams.
Yes not all Trust consider years of experience po, but in my Trust here in Plymouth (hi kapitbahay Cornwall!) they considered po. As soon as I got my Pin, top band 5 na po 😊
Hiya. I do know few people who started their nursing degree here in the UK like late 30s so i think it should be fine. I just don't know the process if you're coming from the Philippines.

I just want to share my opinion about ILR and Citizenship entitlement. Ive been here in the UK since May2019 and have US qualification and on process of moving there as well but I didnt applied for ILR because of some reasons that I hope you will comment back or share your view on these. I didnt apply for ILR because when life or career didnt work in US i can still come back here in the UK as a nurse as I’m still nmc registered and if finally decided to settle for the rest of my productive years I can still qualify for ILR and Citizenship though price will surely be higher than today unless I invested it actively to match the future cost. Also, I am planning to retire in the Philippines though it is expensive to survive there without health insurance, I am making it sure that I will retire with a good and reliable health insurance from a good retirement fund from investment or pension as I can say I devt decent skills in trading and investing in stock market and currencies. I see ILR and Citizenship as impractical if I will eventually move to somewhere else and comparing to US green card which is a privilege granted by an employer unlike ILR paid out of pocket. Thanks for your comment in advance.
Hello. Tbh it's just a matter of perspective and what matters to you. For me, since i'm a year away from the citizenship and not in any rush to move somewhere, I think it's wise to go for it. That's already an assurance and being a British citizen does offer lots of advantages and benefits too. And we never know if things will change in the future for the British citizenship. I don't have an idea about the American life and tbh I quite like the way of living here in the UK which is peaceful. I mean, sure America can be seen better than the UK but tbh I feel like it's where you'd feel happy in your life and career po. Hope this helps but again, it's absolutely your decision 😊
Feeling so defeated: (i studied hard all week, stayed up until 4 am. Woke up at 7 and worked until 4. Created a practice test with. Did it. Checked my answers. Went back and analyzed what i did wrong. All for Nclex :(i think that i was just so tired by the end of it all that i just wanted to be done. I'm hopeful that i can bounce back but right now I just feel like crying💔💔😢😭😔😔💔😞😔💔
I feel your frustration. The feeling of failing after putting in hours of work is heartbreaking. I go for 2nd attempt next week. I'm scared as hell. But i will not let this test win, i know am capable
Frustration is a very positive sign. It means that the solution to your problem is within range, but what you're currently doing isn't working, and you need to change your approach in order to achieve your goal.
wow! i’m so touch 😢 i’m really confused what will i take NCLEX or other exam going to UK i’m praying and asking God for guidance then all of a sudden i saw your vlog 😢🥺 i ask God give me signs i’m watching music videos not related to your vlog and your video pop up! Thank you ❤ God Bless you❤
I am 25 years old living in Japan working as a caregiver , but i really want to work in UK as a nurse can you help me? 😦 Like is it too late for me to change my life ?
This is not a great salary in the UK even in 2024 its a terrible salary if you are looking at working here and are content to live in a share house or an overpriced studio apartment as a single person I'd say go for it ....England is expensive !! as a nurse in the Philippines you might earn a quarter of this starting out but the quality and cost for your daily living expenses are far less than the UK
so $800+ for the Agency only? how about the exam itself? doesnt it cost like $750 for foreign RNs. Im a RN in the PH and just got here in CA. figuring out how can I take my nclex using this agency. its too much to do DIY. anyone here has a same scenario as mine? THANK YOU!
