While I understand that the singers that the host is referring to were LEGENDS of their own time, and of course the current singers cannot recreate that feeling and vibe, It's wrong to compare people in such a creative art. Everyone has their own thing that they do.
Arijit is unique for his time but I don’t consider him a playback singer .. the true playback singers if we talk about the art of Hindi films it’s a niche movie seeing/soundtrack audience and only a handful have mastered it .. Rafi, Lata, Asha, Kishore, Mukesh, Sanu, Udit and Sonu. - I wish he would have mentioned the other legends as if only kishore and lata are the remembered ones .. nonsense
Who cares if you consider or not. He is more skillful than those buddhe singers you mentioned above. Arijit is known as king of playback singing (even google says that). He is a true playback singer. He is legend. I don't consider those buddhe people as singers.
True, my daughter is in an elite choir group and singles solo as well. During recording for choir, she is so professional as well as other kids and she is only 15. All kids learn music since childhood and become pitch perfect quite early.
