In 2000 I started having anxiety problems. I would wake up panicking and started having severe muscle pain in my arms. I was only 23 years old at the time. I started going to church and received healing in my body. I fell in love with God and what he did for me. I wanted to be a pastor myself and when I made that decision the enemy started his spiritual attacks on me. It was bad. I literally thought I was loosing my mind. Then I went to prayer night and got the gift of speaking in tongues and the spirit broke the enemy’s warfare on me. Sorry for the paragraph I just wrote but I wanted to tell you that you are not alone. This just means that God has a strong anointing on you. But keep praying I. The spirit. I still go through the spiritual warfare but I get through it with the help of the Holy Ghost
One more quickie... Where in the Bible does it say that praying in tongues is us speaking our destiny or will of God for our lives? The will of God is clear in scripture. It is to believe on the Son. :)
The mention of Kevin Zadai is cause for concern. He is a false prophet and preaches bad doctrine. Also "a fire in the bosom" is a false teaching of the Mormon church. And tongues is not a "heavenly prayer language". I know this post will not be popular but we are to speak the truth of scripture, with love and grace. I pray for those who are deceived by these false teachings. God hears you no matter how you pray. The Bible says, as a Christian, we have every spiritual blessing and everything that we need for life and Godliness. God bless.

Hey everyone i seen jesus 3 times last year and 4 times this year in dreams.. i think i have a calling on my life. The first dream was me seeing the lion of judah through sunlight a week before my bday.. the environment was so peaceful no words can explain the feeling.. but i had another dream the 28th of february an it was me dying out of the flesh but the armor of god (jesus) was covering up my soul like how iron man suit does..
i see in the spirit you like writing of some sort and that you feel tired or exhausted in this the lord wants to encourage you in this i dont know if this is true im new to prophesying and am steping out in faith 😇
the devil only cares about you losing your soul, he can give you peace and comfort in change of that, like he offered Christ in the desert. He is the prince of this world 2 Cor 4:4 and those who follow the devil live a peaceful life. The life of a real Christian is NOT one of comfort, is about carrying your cross and preparing for a hard fight. Praying in tongues was a gift for only worthy and very saint people, if it helped you solve your mundane problems instead of the spiritual ones i would question if it really comes from God
I don't believe so. Lots of Christians tell that their life has been positively transformed after they started following Jesus. And Satan can bring you comfort but not peace and true happiness. People always say it in their testimonies. 🙂
@@daisyg8384 it is popular in America to think you are going to heaven for just "accepting Christ" as your savior", that can give comfort to any person but in reality makes their own life worthless on earth because he has no mission, it also gives him the sin of pride. "tongue speaking" and "rapture" they were all American inventions that didn't exist before, the only true happiness for a Christian is the overcoming of his own sins and the well-being of his loved ones, both with the grace of God. A life of resisting temptation, while being surrounded by it is not a peaceful life
God does not give you gifts because you earned them. He gives to his saints to glorify his kingdom. Without the blood of Jesus the only thing we deserve is death. If you don't have peace you are carrying your cross with your flesh.

To carry your cross, means to fully put your trust in God amid the storms and battles in your life. It means that although you may be in an extremely difficult or painful situation, you always trust that God is with you in the midst of your suffering. As Christians, we try to live our life according to the will of God.

Thank you so much for sharing your testimony. I am now in the habit of praying in tongues for at least 45 mins in the mornings and sometimes throughout the day. I have felt a significant shift in my life. I am more stable emotionally, joyful, and peaceful. Conversely, I am spiritually stronger, and have been able to incorporate praying and fasting more regularly and for longer periods. Overall, I feel closer to God and can see evidence of this in how I think and act. I have always been able to speak diverse tongues, so I hear multiple languages, and sing multiple languages, although there is one that I tend to use more frequently. Often, I can tell I am just praising God because I am filled with awe and wonder of God.
@messenger8854 yes, I've seen the effect on my walk as well. I started praying in tongues for 30 min to 1hr every morning starting early last month. My walk with God has gotten so much deeper and my love for Him has gotten so much deeper as well. I'm also getting more revelations and deeper spiritually as well.
Wrong,unscriptural,especially satanic,the gift of the holy spirit is true through jesus christ,yes,but you are being decieved concerning this so called speaking in tongues that happened for a specific reason in the new testament,so each would hear in their own language,study your bible.
Acts 10 what language was Cornelius praying in? What about Acts 19? What language was those 12 disciples of John praying in? Who interpreted? Interpretation that Paul was talking about was in a gathering/assembly…Read the context/setting. Correctly Divide the word of God & study to shew thyself approved. It behooves you to, I beseech you!
Great testimony, sister. How wonderful to hear of you "renewing the spirit of your mind," and yielding yourself to the Lord Jesus. The benefit of speaking in tongues cannot be overstated, and like you, I have found myself speaking more and more in tongues in the last year, and it has made a huge difference in my walk with the Lord. I am 70 this year, have been in full-time ministry for more than 30 years, and I even have a seminary degree - but I must say, your testimony is better than most of the classes I took! And, by the way, concerning the sense of "heavy" in God's presence makes sense: the word for weight and glory is the same word in Hebrew - kabōd! God bless you, and keep it up.
We are ALL baptized in ONE spirit even if one does not get all the gifts, like tongues (1 Cor 12). There are examples in bible (acts) what it can mean to be "filled" with the spirit, like speaking boldly the word of God. Tongues is just a gift of many and to make that as the ONLY sign to be filled or baptized in spirit is a false doctrine made by man. Also tongues is to be a real language you did not learn, and also, it ought to be interpreted. To not understand it bears no fruit in your mind or for the listener. You can have joy but also be filled with joy...see that.

Please pray for me. I am a old Christian and I used to pray in tongues in a powerful way when I was first "Saved" but now I feel dry and so oppressed and isolated. Too Much infighting in the churches, Iam right, your wrong.. blah blah blah, back and forth. Everyone thinks they are "right" and the spirit is grieved in me.. I felt like he has left me.. I dont like going to church anymore, I am tired of these dead dry churches that teach the Word ONLY, but no manifestation of the "gifts" They squash speaking in tongues, It is really sad. I am sad.. No joy anymore..?
Thanks for your testimony. Its a blessing. The devil doesn’t really attack the spirit but he can poison it. That’s why we need to watch that we don’t develop a bitter or a grumbling spirit, or a spirit of wrath/anger or in relation to others a spirit of division, etc etc. Luke 9:55-56 So the devil can attack but it’s in a different more subtle way. Love your testimony, really applied to me in a personal way, thank you for your pure and humble spirit. May God continue to bless you.
Chanting syllables that we are brainwashed into thinking are tongues has to stop. A tongue is a language, a language communicates meaning through words. The Good God knows of our ignorance and still blesses us in our hour of need. Having said that, you need to ask God to clear things up. God bless you more. PS.Tongues is a gift to some, not all. Most of the first Church had this gift, not all. It can be used as a sign for non believers, but it is NOT a sign for believers. It is a full gift.
I pray in tongues now also when I walk in the woods and drive in the car. It is very helpful and should be practized by all Christians. I recommend Corey Russell's book on speaking in tongues, 'The Glory Within,' for those who are sceptic or wants to know more. I know it might be difficult to begin, and it was for me, but it is possible.
