Having used several types and brands of routers I have never seen that much saw dust inside of a motor. Hard to believe that is natural. That being said, the first to do is remove the large plastic covers from the brushes and pull them out so that you can clean the area with compressed air
I operated one like this about twenty years ago in GA. It was really worn out, but still worked. It had a 3 speed gear selection lever on the left side of seat. I don't remember exactly but it seemed like it was some kind of hydrostatic drive. It had oldschool 4-stick Ford type backhoe controls. It really didn't see like it was probably even a good machine when it was in better shape lol.
I ran one of these for years. Love Caterpillars. My grandfather ran similar models. These’ll jack up your shoulders, thoracic and neck for sure! Modern ones are much more user friendly.
Dear lord that tractors been run real hard for a very long time lol lucky that it's when they were built to last with minimal maintenance required. I have the 1988 model with 75 front loader and model 8a backhoe. She's very surprising with just how damn strong she is. Easily picks up 18' telephone poles with the frickin backhoe....honestly never thought it'd do it I was just lazy and didn't want to turn tractor around being as big as it is and was delightfully surprised
Also Built in the UK, Desford Plant, alongside the backhoe loaders : ) Proud to say I've worked on the line their : ) Left to operate them in the field. : )
I wish the build quality of the battery operated drills were as good as these corded makita sadly to say many don’t even come close ,the weak point on so many 18v drills is the entire chuck assembly which develop play and wobble after short use, also the use of powdered gears as opposed to the machines ones used in these older drills.
Are you interested in buying a older version off of me, it has a internal switch but missing the external switch. 82902. Good project for you. Works but sparks fly inside.
