2022 was when Naraoka was a rather aggressive player unlike the more rallying/defensive player he is now. I feel like his problem is the lack of a shot combo/anticipation and also his shot qualities. Not all his lifts go to the backline and yes he is one of the fittest player on the World Tour right now but if he cannot anticipate the next shots well then he is going to end up very tired too as he is going to have to take some shuttles later which makes it harder to finish rallies. I also agree that he has no weapon to finish the rallies, his smashes are mostly to the middle and straight, with a lack of angle smashes which is the weakness of most players' defense. Now this may be caused by his rallying style which causes him to be tired often and hard to focus on doing an angle smash. Naraoka is one of the more technically gifted players on the World Tour. Despite this, the variety of shots he does is quite small and his shots are easy to anticipate as well. Clears are good but you are going to be tired as well as your opponent so your opponent is going to force out more rally finishing shots that is going to make you even more tired.
@@EggMemer Thank you for the long writing. I study so much about Kodai if you check my channel you will see. I was inspired by Attacking Kodai from Vietnam open. He is good at racket control especially at front court. Yes. As you mentioned his smash is not steep enough that's why he needs to attack at front. His slice drop is more deadly from the midcourt than his smash.
I think lcw can't fix this against Lin Dan, since he was completely defeated by Lin dan in Olympic Beijing 2008, he got traumatized with that so after that Olympic ended LCW was truly scared and nervous when he played against Lin Dan, LCW is still one of the greatest players but Lin Dan is the greatest player ever
